Drip irrigation
Work like they are supposed to, have noticed that some drip and some spray. Expect this is caused by placement and or hole being larger somehow.

Waters plants without ruining deck
My carpenter friend scolded me as he completed repairs to my deck: "You cannot use a water sprinkler up here and expect the deck not to rot." True that. So I re-rigged my deck-watering system, which is on a timer, with these drippers. No-- I was NOT using a water sprinkler on the deck but some of my plants WERE watered with mini-sprinklers. These drippers put water just where it's needed. I also placed plants on wire shelves and put plastic panels underneath that drain off the deck. Maybe I'll never have to see my carpenter friend again.

The best brand products
The only down side of these drippers is pressure regulation. 25 lbs pressure is about all they can handle before they start spraying so I recommend getting a regulator when you set up your drip system

These work--but emit more than 1/2 gph
These are inline emitters, so if you set them up correctly, they will drip as designed. HOWEVER, I have found that mine put out a lot more than 1/2 gph. It was obvious as soon as I turned on the water that these were dripping much faster than they should have. A quick measurement confirmed that in six minutes, a single dripper emitted about 1.25 cups. At the advertised rate, they should have dripped only 0.8 cups in that time. So, my guess is that these emit about 3/4 gph. I'll also note that some of the emitters dripped and others sprayed, but they appeared to emit the same amount of water.

Easy to install and works great
Very simple to add to an existing line or an easy way to add additional tubing. It’s a very slow drip, great for potted plants.

They all work perfectly
This dripper is an INLINE dripper, not end of line, so water is meant to pass through it onto the next dripper INLINE. It drips at the specified amount from the small hole in the disc. A lot of people are confused, and mention they can look through the in and out ends. That is how it is designed, to let water through to the next INLINE dripper, and allow the dripping from the small hole. I hope this helps some understand how it functions, perfectly! Don't be mislead by those who don't understand how it works.
