sturdy with nice variable flow valve

this spray wand seems sturdy and should hold up for a long time. I do like the variable flow valve which allows you full force and high flow down to a nice easy shower for delicate plants. the on/off trigger could use a little more positive method to keep on, but as long as you don't touch it it stays on. time will tell how long the trigger and flow control valve will last, but first impressions are it is worth the money.

Nice length and adjustable spray.

The spray is wonderful for watering plants. Reaches hanging planters well. Only downside was after 3 months, the washer allows water to leak between the hose and the wand.

Excellent water wand for garden or greenhouse

Was a lifelong Dramm user, but after a few items that didn't last as long as I expected, I gave this Orbit water wand a try. I'm pleased to say that it met or exceeded all of my expectations. Although not commercial grade, it's built substantially enough that it should last for years with proper care. Both the trigger valve and the water flow valve appear to be of good quality brass and function smoothly. The wand tube is a medium gauge aluminum - certainly a good deal stronger than the house brand big box types - and has a standard male fitting on the end to allow for maintenance or replacement of the metal rosette. The trigger is also a stamped metal part of decent thickness - it doesn't feel flimsy at all when in use and the valve action is quick and leak free. In fact, I've had no leaks at all in the several months I've used it in two hobby greenhouses and a backyard garden - almost a notable feat compared to budget wands. The plastic overmolding on the grip has a firm feel and nice texture - it's easy to hold for extended periods of watering. There is a soft neoprene sleeve with finger grip molding on the lower end of the tube to aid in balancing the wand if this is an issue - I don't find it necessary but it may be helpful for folks with limited grip strength - the trigger can be locked in the on position and the water flow adjusted to your liking first and then you can hold the wand by the soft grip instead. This could be especially useful for watering overhead baskets as well if connected to a lightweight hose. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality and function and have found very little to quibble about. I consider it a great value for the cost and expect that with moderate care, it can see many years of good service. I haven't checked the manufacturers website if replacement parts are available, but it does appear to be reasonably repairable (gaskets, seals, rosette) and the wand is threaded onto the trigger body, not swaged like budget types. In any case, Orbit does back it with a 1 Year warranty per the packaging. Solid buy.

Unbelievable.

If there are gardens in heaven, and if angels are watering those gardens, they are using this wand! It is absolute perfection in every way. Lightweight, but heavy-duty quality, great comfortable grip, awesome off and on and reduction of flow with the trigger--very precise. The angle of the head is fixed but perfect. I really could not ask for anything more, nor think of a single improvement. PRO TIP: turn the faucet on the hose to full blast, then use the reducer on the handle of the wand to control flow--if you have a lot of the same watering to do, the handle has a little catch which keeps the trigger depressed and water flowing at the desired rate. Once set, it's like cruise control, and you just water away, swinging the wand with the super comfortable grip. I'm tellin ya, it's like heaven. I've bought probably 20 of these wands in my adult life (Costco, Ace Hardware, online, etc.) and nothing even comes close to this one. Not even close.

Gets the job done

Bought the watering wand because the patio garden extends more than one level. The ease of use makes the job of watering a lot easier and more efficient. I can water the soil not the plant leaves. Have in the past used other brands and after a short period of time tend to leak at the attachment to the hose. The cut off knob is easily accessible when your ready to stop watering.

Quality product. This is a metal design and will last. It costs more than the plastic ones but will last. I recommend.
