Old school, all metal

I can't compare this to other potato ricers since this is my first. I purchased this because of its all metal SS construction. The handles, not being solid, aren't that comfortable. It is a bit awkward and messy. But, it rices potatoes very well. the ricing disk is removable for ease of cleaning, but it can become unintentionally detached. If old school is your preference, this is a good choice. IMO, potatoes do taste better when riced compared to mashed as the starches don't get overworked.

Extremely sturdy and efficient.

I use this mostly for squeezing herbs from infusions. This ricer is the sturdiest and easiest to clean of the three models I have used. The other two have broken near where the lever attaches to the strainer cup. This one , with the heavy round metal frame, does not have the same point of failure as the others. I am confident this ricer will stand up to years of this hard use I put it through.

Very sturdy

This potato ricer is a very solid, heavy duty tool that should last for years. The last ricer I owned was nowhere near as solid as this one. The fact that is also easy to clean is a nice bonus. The only downside is that it is a mono-tasker, but that is not the fault of the device, inasmuch as it is in the nature of a potato ricer to be one.

Great Buy

I have been looking forever for a Potato Ricer like my Mom had and this was as close as I could get. Its easy to use, easy to clean, and the potatoes come out wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a variety in how they serve their Mashed and now Riced Potatoes. I gave it a 5 star rating because of its ease of use and great results. Thank you.

Uncomfortable handle.

I purchased this item for making potato pasta. The grip is not very comfortable when pressing cooked potatoes. I wish the handle was solid.

sturdy, easy to clean

Its not mentioned anywhere, but the cup can be removed from the handle for easier cleaning. there are two bumps that keep it in th handle. line the "bumps" up with the open part of the handle and then slide the cup out.

ease of use

I made the right decision in purchasing this potato ricer. Just the right size, not too big and clumsy. The handle is user friendly. Large enough to squeeze comfortably with my arthritic hands. Easy to load, and to maintain. L.V.
