Flaking finish

Love the shape for summer parties. I volunteer on a large pollinator garden. Will be fun to bring bug cakes or muffins to meetings. But when I went to wash the pan before first time use, I noticed a little silver flaking off from one ladybug area. Then looked closely and saw “bubbles” in the finish. I rubbed the area with my finger and then with a scrubby until the flaking stopped. The pan worked fine. No more flaking on second wash after baking. Hopefully it is okay now. But I write this review with concern someone else may wash only lightly, then use the pan and wind up with silver flakes in their cakes.

This works great if you use the spray with the flour in it.

I have made a couple of things now. cakes and breads without alot of stuff in them work best. I made blueberry muffins and they were very hard to get out intact because of the blueberries. Vanilla cake, pumpkin bread, banana nut bread (chop the walnuts very fine), devils food cake (use cocoa to dust pan) ginger bread, I also made a lemon cake with a glaze and they came out very pretty when I decorated the plate with edible flowers. DO NOT PUT IN DISHWASHER- I never put any of my pans in the dishwasher as it wrecks aluminum

Soooooo cute!

The grandchildren LOVE the cute little cakes made in this pan. The shape makes snack time extra fun. I would give the item 5 stars if there were a hole at the end of the pan so that it could be hung on the pot rack (cute and decorative :) You can't beat the quality of a good Nordic Ware pan!

Delightful!

We, like so many others, need to be food allergen sensitive, especially when 1 of the grandkids can’t eat what everyone else can. This lovely addition to my baking pans made a special 3-year old feel very special indeed when his Nai-Nai created something a bit unusual for just for him - okay, okay, and for the other grandkids, too! My bug mini bundt cakes were a huge hit!

Awesome pan!

Cakes bake up beautifully with great detail. I have given away two of these pans as people really love how the mini cakes turn out. One person made individual omelets in them. The Nordic Ware lemon bundt cake mix is delicious to use with these. It does all but one design.

To much funnnnn !!!!

Nothing says spring and summer like this pan ! Yes, there is a learning curve as to filling spaces. Headed to store, bought cheap cake mixes and started the experiment. Use plenty of bakers flour spray and they fall out, throw in sink to soak and cleans right up. Also have the bunny pan, use the 2 together which creates quite a stir upon presentation . Lots of happy folks and in today's world, we all need more HAPPINESS.....

A really great pan!

Even though this looks like it would be hard to release the shapes after baking, it works perfectly. Make sure you use something like butter or shortening, and flour on the pan, and you will have no problems. Really great quality and unique presentation of your baking. Looks fantastic.

Adorable bug cakes for little, and big people

Loved baking these cute little bugs to share with our grandchildren. A friend recommended that I use the cooking spray with flour and after cooling in the pan fro 10 minutes, they literally jumped out of the pan. I used the recipe that came with the pan and it's delicious.
