Light works well, transformer sucks

The light works well, lights up my 15' x 30' above ground pool well, but the transformer shuts off after 2 hours, unacceptable. So, I bought a replacement transformer on Amazon that can be used to manually turn the light on and off, automatically come on at dusk - off at dawn or on at dusk off after 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours. If you use a different transformer make sure it's DC, the transformer that comes with the light is 12V DC (technically 11.5 V), . FYI, most outdoor landscaping light transformers are AC, I found an Outdoor Low Voltage Transformer, 60W 120V AC to 12V DC Landscape Light Transformer with Countdown Timer and Photocell Light Sensor on Amazon for $31, works perfectly.

Great light, so far!!

This light is plenty bright for my 21’ round pool and was easy to install. Luckily the cord came long enough to reach my deck outlet. I know it’s factory sealed, but I still added a bead of caulk around the back where I could see it fail and cause some mix reviews. Only time will tell if water stays out and bulb doesn't fail. ????????

Ok but

If I could suggest one improvement. I try to have the light on the timer so that it comes on at night and then shuts off later. But there’s no way to do that because every time it comes on someone must manually press the button on the transformer. Other than that it’s a very good product

Looks great but only lasted one season

We have an 18' above ground pool and it is the perfect brightness. I bought ours last year and it doesn't work this year. I even sealed the casing with caulking before I introduced it into the water. Not sure what happened but it no longer works. Pretty expensive for only one season.

Rusted really fast

It rusted really fast, in the actual light area. Dimming the light. Just don't keep continually in the water and everything should work great for a long long time. It is so bright I loved that!!

Heads up! Wish I'd gone lower on the LED rating.

This is working flawlessly so I need to give it all-star performance, but a heads up this is like a runway light. Every flaw and crinkle in the laying of the liner of our pool, even if done by professionals, shows at night. It's also an ugly green hue for some reason. I'll try and purchase some colored covers to see if that helps, but for now, I wish we'd purchased a lower LED light.

LED light does the job

Nice bright light illuminates the entire pool, in my case 28' diameter round. Installation is more complicated than I would like, involving unscrewing part of the pool top rail, but once installed, this is seamless. Don't like the fact that the light must be removed at end of season, but I guess this is a necessity with Michigan winters.

It filled with water

The Nitelighter was very bright, as advertised, and made evening swims a blast, but began ti leak at some point and is now filled with rusty water. Not only did the globe itself fill with water, it appears that the entire unit is filled with rusty water. The LEDs themselves appear to be working, but im not a big fan of leaving faulty electrical appliances in a swimming pool with friends and family. I would not recommend this unit. UPDATE: I decided to open my unit, to find several of the LED chips not working, as well as the screws and several internal components colored and rusty. Don't buy. If you do, start by taking it apart and sealing it yourself

Very impressed

I’ve been searching for a light for my radiant pool for two years. Because the walls are two inches thick, nothing worked. I watched a YouTube video on how to alter the bracket that comes on this light and it was exactly what I needed. It lights up my 24’ round pool perfectly! Highly recommend this light. It turns itself off after 2 hours. The cord is quite long so makes it easy to place just about anywhere. Look no further, this light is great!

For the price, its a borderline rip-off.

Was installed properly the day it arrived and it worked great.... For about 3 months until I noticed the inside of the light had filled up with water. Really disappointing, hardly any temperature fluxuations and somehow water still gets in. Okay no big deal, the light still works. Winter comes around and I detach the light from the transformer and bring it in until next summer. I hook it up the next year and it still works, however now the transformer button has stopped working BUT the light still works when plugged in. Im starting to get a tad frustrated but hey, it still works. Fast forward a month later and I go out for a nice night swim, plug it in and it shuts off 2 minutes later. Get out, unplug it, plug it back in and it stays on for about 20 minutes until it shuts off again. I get frustrated and unplug it and try plugging it in again and the red LED on the transformer begins to go all wonky. I grab the transformer and I hear water swishing around. Well I guess not only the light isn't sealed properly, but the transformer too! I unhooked it, brought it inside and held it upside down and water began to leak out from the cord insert. The light is now completely useless and does not function at all. I maybe used it 50 times at most over the course of 2 years. What an absolute waste of money.

Not Happy

We loved it, bought it on Aug 20th 2020 but then the 4th time it was turned on half the lights were out and had water inside it, which is Sept 25th 2020, only 1 month old. Very disappointed.

Lumière de piscine ne fonctionne plus

L été passer elle a bien fonctionner cette été elle a allumer 2 fois et elle ne fonctionne plus j’ai du courants et elle ne s’allume pas cher payer pour fonctionner 3 mois par année et cela ne fait pas 1 année que je l’ai acheté (DÉÇU)
