Still working after a year

I bought this April '12. I installed one on my 18' boat under the swim platform probably 6"-8" underwater. While I can say this is NOT as bright as advertised (unless they're measuring while it's out of the water); it has lasted many many days and nights submerged in salt water and hasn't lost any LED's, hasn't become brittle, and really there are no issues. I'd give this 3.5 if possible but I'll give this 4 stars because its still working - but if you want something truly bright then you'll need to spend more than $20 on this and get something in the $100 range...

Worked as expected, but not as bright.

First - this only put out 497 lumens according to my light reader - not quite the 600 lumens I was hoping for. As I was using this to light a small pool of water inside a cave for a photo-shoot, I really would have appreciated the full 600 lumens. Second - It worked well! Hooked this up to a small sealed 12v lead-acid battery pack from Batteries Plus, and sealed the wires together with some heavy duty shrink tubing and didn't have any problems with shorting. We had the light about 10' under water.

Very Universal and great light!

Very nice light. Very easy installation, comes with stainless mounting screws. With the two mounting options, it can be mounted with or without a hole in the boat for the wire to go through which allows more mounting options. The compact size and smooth finish allows for installation in almost any high traffic area where snags and bumping into is a concern. Very well made. I installed two of these in my boat, and the whole thing lights up very well when I flip the switch. I am thinking of getting a couple more of these to mount to my boat trailer for added lighting for dark boat ramps!

Great light, just as description says

I mounted these lights on the upper sides of my t-top to help light the deck when night fishing. The reason for the 4 star rating is because they aren't quite as bright as I had hoped but they are great in every other aspect. If you're trying to mount these low and give your deck that glowing effect, I think they'd be perfect.

Nice and bright

We mounted this on the front of our hovercraft. It is easy to install, is quite bright and is sealed against water. It allows flush mounting (with the hold directly behind) or has a spaces to the cord can be run up to another penetration point. We run it off of a AA battery pack and it works great. We liked it so well we purchased a blue one to light up the water underneathT-HMarineUnderwaterLEDLight,Blue-LED-51867 . It works exactly as we hoped.

Manage your expectations... good, but not 600 lumens

Not quite as bright as I had hoped, but they did work, came with hardware, the the price was right. I put three on the back of my boat, and I wish I went with something a little more powerful or added a couple more. I'll try to get some pictures up here later. I also think the leads could be slightly longer, but they seem to be quality.

Seems fine, I wish it was brighter, shipping was fast and product overall seems fine, but bought one to see how it worked and when behind my houseboat, it lights up the water, but somewhat dimly. I'm sure if you put 10 behind it would be OK but that seems ridiculously expensive.

Works great

I installed this as an underwater light off of my dock. The cord is short so I added a longer cord and spliced it by soldering the wires, putting on epoxy and then shrink tubing while the epoxy was still wet and it makes a nice watertight seal. I'm getting amberjack swimming around the light every night. I had a Brinkman LED landscape light set with a 20W transformer and now I have this light and 12 other LED landscape lights running for less than 20 Watts.
