Perfect for PB teen dresser!

After looking for replacements for my son’s Pottery barn dresser for months and almost giving up I was thrilled to find these. I read a couple of reviews that mentioned they worked on Pottery Barn furniture and I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! I bought the set of 12in long and 3/8in thick, exactly the clearance in each side. Now the drawers slide in an out more smooth and close perfectly which was not the case with the original slides. I had never done that before but after watching an YouTube video about installing ball bearing slides it was easy! I replaced the slides on all 3 drawers. I had to drill a couple of holes that didn’t match the ones already there though. Thank you, Shop Fox!

Fits Pottery Barn Bedford drawer

I have a Pottery Barn Bedford desk drawer that I needed to replace the slides on. I understand that over the decades PB may have changed the size/type of slides they use, but it was a perfect replacement for mine!

Sturdy drawer replacement slides

These Shop Fox drawer slides worked great for replacing the worn out ones on our toy chests. They are much better quality than the original ones. These are thinner than the ones commonly available at box stores. They are about 3/8” thick. Box store drawer slides are about 1/2” thick, too thick for my application. The thicker slides tend to be full extension slides and are rated for more weight, but won’t always fit in some applications. The screws supplied were sized just right. Mounting these properly does take some careful measuring and marking, but that’s just the nature of drawer slides.

Excellent - Be Sure To Measure Carefully Before Ordering!

The key with buying drawer slides is: get the right size! The measurements (overall length when closed, height - top/bottom, and width - the distance between the drawer side and the opening) are very important. Especially the width - too thin and the slide won't properly "fill" the opening between the drawer and the cabinet; too thick and it won't fit. The thickness must be the same as the opening; actually, a wee bit less to allow for some "play" between the drawer and the cabinet side. Because I didn't understand these requirements initially, I had to return my original order (too big) and exchange it for this one, which fits perfectly. The slides are relatively easy to install, but it can be tricky to get both slides aligned relative to each other (i.e., parallel); otherwise, the drawer will "bind" as it moves in and out. Once everything is properly aligned, the drawer should "glide" in and out. The quality is very good. Solid steel (not cheap, thin stamped steel) with ball-bearing glides. Should last a long time in normal use. I used these on a keyboard platform, so it gets a lot of use (in/out) on a daily basis.

Worked on old Pottery Barn Kids dresser

These slides are thinner than the standard slides I found at the local hardware stores. I needed something thin to replace drawer slides on an older Pottery Barn dresser. Installation was challenging due to no instructions so I had to YouTube and used trial and error. But they worked! If they were 100% extension that would be great!

Low Profile!!! only 3/8 drawer clearance needed

I went through an incredibly frustrating time trying to find replacement slides for my cheap workbench drawers. It seems almost everything on the market requires 1/2 inch clearance between the drawer and frame. This set was a life saver and finally allowed me to install my drawers without having to cut dados in the drawers to make them fit. 3/8 clearance on each side is all you need. Thank you shop fox!!

A good product, even when used in atypical scenarios.

Good Product. The sliding action is relatively nice and smooth. This is good bang for your buck in a standard drawer configuration. In my use where the orientation won't always be horizontal, I found that sometimes (not even most of the time, but sometimes) when the action of the slide is vertical, the bearing assembly can get stuck down at the other end of the slide when fully extended, causing excessive slop and can allow the slider to be pulled out of the housing completely (without engaging the little removal trigger). I wouldn't consider this a real 'negative' but something to consider if you're using it for other projects.

Low Profile drawer sliders that work with Pottery Barn dressers

These are the only drawer slides that I have found that work with Pottery Barn furniture. I found a Pottery Barn Kendall dresser used that had a drawer that was broken. I searched and searched for a low profile drawer slider at our local hardware stores. No one had any that were under half an inch width. Finally I found a review on Amazon from someone else with the same issue. I ordered them and they worked! Thank you to the person that posted about these before me.

The right slides

I tried numerous slides to replace the broken ones on my dresser drawers but none fit. I was already looking to contact the furniture manufacturer and decided to try these prior. Fits perfectly and in fact its slim profile and exact same size. The only difference is the colour, black. Seller should list exact detailed dimensions here - it helps a lot.
