Backing handmade punch rugs....

I make handmade needle punch rugs - when I want to give buyers to option to hang on the wall OR use on the ground, this product is super useful! It easily adheres to the felt fabric backing and seems to keep the rug sturdy and in place, as well.

Barely works

I guess my dogs trampling thru the hallway is just too much. But this tape didn't do much at all to hold the rug in place.

Love this product!

We have four dogs, three who are getting up in years and one with joint problems. Although they are not "spring chickens" any longer, they love to romp and play in the house. I have wood floors and tile throughout the house so we have to make sure that they have traction during play. Wood floors and tile are very slippery and the dogs can hurt themselves if they slip or splay out on their legs. Although I do not like rugs, runners, etc., in the home due to their attraction of dust, pests, and other allergens, we had to get them for the safety of our pups' joints. I previously tried other area rug pads but you had to cut them to size, they were not kind to our wood floors (leaving the pad's marks after a while) and really didn't keep the rugs in place. I would end up having to position the rugs on the pads all the time. We bought our first 25-ft strip of this tape at Home Depot. I used it on an 8 x 3 runner we have in the Florida Room and it really worked at keeping the runner in place no matter how many pups played on it and romped around, and even though I didn't have enough tape to follow the directions to the T (you need to place strips no more than 3 inches apart on the bottom of the rug so I only had enough to go around the edges and one strip in the middle). When I found this product at Amazon I purchased three more. I used it on a 10 x 3 runner in the hallway on wood floors and the runner has yet to slip as the pups run on it and turn the corner at one end of the hallway. The great thing about this product is that the adhesive side adheres to the underside of the rug and the other side (which is a thin rubber) is what makes contact with the floor, keeping your rugs in place (even when you vacuum!) and your floors safe. So far, I am very happy which this product and highly recommend it.

Awesome, probably didn't use as intended but awesome.

I gave it a 4 because the adhesive side isnt great. It sticks sure, but any adhesive on cloth needs to be more viscous. This is more just like packing tape on the sticky side. The rubberized side is amazing. I have been looking for a product like this for a while. I've used it on almost everything except it's intended use. Used on chairs, mattresses from slipping, computer keyboards, opened jars with it, pesky futon mattress that slips, even put it on a $4 set of flip-flops for traction, many more things that need to stay in place. If it gets less traction over time a moist cloth makes it brand new. It sticks great to anything except cloth, but nothing sticks to cloth unless a thick glue that can penetrate fiber, but that will prob melt and make a mess of floors. I don't have the adhesive answer but, this stuff is in my garage for a go to for many weird projects.

It helps to keep from sliding on the rug where not anchored by furniture.

It's okay but Rug Grippers are Better

I ordered a roll for my 2 x 6 runner. It wasn't enough to provide full coverage and although it does help with the sliding on my hardwood floors, it still moves and I find myself adjusting it all the time. However, I found a better product from Amazon that I tried out on my powder room area rug called "Rug Grippers." They are unbelievable! My rug hasn't moved since I got it, but you can still lift up a corner and tell it is not leaving any residue on my hardwood floors yet it "sticks." I just ordered some more rug grippers for my 2 x 6 rug and can't wait to see if it works better than the Roberts anti-slip. I'll update when it arrives tomorrow.

worked ok

Purchased for carpet used on hardwood floors by doors. Mail to reduce carpet slide when the small dogs run to/threw door openning. Did not work that well to stop movement by dogs. Need some weight like a person to keep carpet from sliding.

Does not provide good traction and does not stick to the back of rug adequately.
