Not quite as pictured
The photo in the listing makes the wire look as if it is at least as wide as a bread tie when in fact it is much thinner. You can see how thin in the photo. I have normal sized thumbs, so the side by side comparison should give you a pretty good idea of the width. I'm not entirely sure this wouldn't cut into a plant as "unpadded" as it is. Fortunately, I bought it to use as a cat toy and it is fine for this purpose (cut off about a foot and wad it up loosely and my cat goes bonkers playing with it - unlike all the expensive toys I bought him which gather dust). So, want to entertain a cat? This is okay (although I would have preferred a heavier gauge). Want to tie up your plants? It might be okay but I'd recommend several wraps so it doesn't cut into the stalk.

Meh, this is okay, but...
...if I'm being honest, I'd rather use the green velcro tape instead of this. I mean, I guess it really depends on what you're using it for because it's really pretty thin and flimsy. This is the first time I've tried it and my plants are still small. I'm not holding out high hopes that it will support them when they reach their full potential. I have a feeling the stems/branches will start sagging and I'll need to got out and supplement with more ties. While it's a good concept and really convenient to have the built in cutter, the cutter is a bit on the hard side to use. You really have to get the twist tie in the right spot, and press down hard. Sometimes, I get it just right and it works quickly and easily; other times, it's a struggle. Maybe there is more of a quality brand out there that will work better. We'll see if it gets me through the season.

Very nice to have
I used it to make garden metal cages to prevent deer or other animals eating my newly planted roses. It is convenient to cut to different length. I will buy again after running out. I wish it is longer. But I cant know it is really that long as described. Overall, it is a good buy.

Thin but inexpensive
I purchased this for nose pieces on facemasks. Its a bit thin for that, requiring me to double. Very inexpensive and easy to dispense the amount you need. It will come in handy for other purposes as well. Not a bad item to have around.

Cutting mechanism useless!
The wire itself is adequate to tie up/support plants on poles, trellis and such. The cutting mechanism is useless and very aggravating. Will need to carry a wire clipper when using it in any application! The manufacturer/vendors should be able to remedy this flaw in short order, before they lose business as well as consumer satisfaction ratings!!

Many Uses!!
Okay, I originally ordered this to use for sewing face masks, not even thinking about using them in the garden. But, since it is spring, and all of my tall irises and peonies are getting ready to bloom, these came at the right time to keep my little babies’ faces from languishing in the dirt. I initially couldn’t figure out the little cutting mechanism that’s included, but I watched the video on the item’s pictures. Super smart!!!

Great buy for the price!
They arrived on time but I thought they would be a little more thicker. Once tightened, because of the thinness they seem to slightly come a loose. Definitely worth the price and being on a roll makes it much easier to use.
