NOT HEAVY-DUTY silver tape you buy at hardware store, BUT...

Perfect for my application. First I have to state, because of the previous negative amazon reviews of this product--you should have reasonable expectations of a product when you buy it online as you cannot hold and touch it. I usually do, and therefore I was VERY pleased with this product! I wasn't looking for heavy-duty duct tape, if I were I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PURCHASING PINK, eh? I bought this tape for its BRIGHT factor. This is my deal: I couldn't seem to keep up with my new house phone. It is slim and black and just seemed to "disappear" on every surface I would lay it on when I was through. (Yes, I lay my phones everywhere, bookshelves, tables, dressers, counters, etc.) Anyway, I've had this PINK tape on the back of my house phone for over a month now. It is lightweight and stuck to the phone simply and easily and has shown NO SIGNS OF WEAR or COMING OFF! And YES, I can find my phone now!!! I chose the color pink, out of the huge variety of colors offered on amazon, simply because nothing else in my home is bright pink so I knew a quick scan of the rooms should turn this up--just think pink and you'll be able to locate my phone! ****UPDATE AUGUST 12, 2012****** UPDATE ******* Had to lower the stars from five to three. ******* I guess I got really lucky with this product sticking perfectly to the surface I bought it for--my telephone handset. Whatever the phone is made out of--this tape sticks to perfectly. However, I'd hate my above review and previous five stars cause someone to purchase this tape and find it useless for their application. I have since tried this tape on the inside of a kitchen counter, and it did not stick to either the wood or the shiny part of the inside, nor did it stick to a rubbermaid trash can made of more like a bouncy plastic, than a hard plastic. Nor did it stick to a box. But hey, it is still going strong on my phone, so I'm still glad I bought it. Hope this was helpful.

Great for organized moving.

I love the color tape. I use this for moving and I'm able to identify everyone's packages in a different color. When I moved three years ago I used to scotch tape and I would never move again without it. I use a different color tape for everyone in my house.

Hot Pink Duct Tape

Super cute. Who knew they made hot pink duck tape. It feels tacky enough, but not sure how well this tape holds up over time. Please note that this review is based on the color alone as I had not yet had the opportunity to really use it yet.

Not "hot pink" and not very sticky; not good for my needs

Who knew 3M couldn't make an adhesive sticky enough for duct tape? Who knew that "hot pink" looked like fuchsia? I purchased the 3M brand because of their reputation for making adhesives that stick when they are supposed to and are removable when that's what is needed. I was going to use this tape mostly outdoors, like making flags on plastic stakes to mark locations of plants, and indoors as labels on plastic containers. I have bought some (other) brands that were great--so sticky that even after a year the adhesive "bandage" part was still stuck on the stake even as the tape portion peels off. I've used duct tape on (of all things) burlap, also with great results. Right off the roll I can tell that the 3M product isn't going to cut it. Some reviewers noted that the tape doesn't stay stuck to much of anything, including itself, and I found this to be the case (indoors in 68 degree temps; no way this will stick in the cold, or to a plastic bin). And then there's the issue of the color. It's difficult to buy these products online, but the label said "hot pink" so I picked it. I was hoping for something closer to the pink of those iconic plastic flamingos or that chalky liquid upset-stomach product, or at least something a little hot/neon. This is much more subdued and the pink has quite a bit of purple to it--more of a pink-y magenta or fuchsia. I could have forgiven the "off" color given how difficult it is to visualize the color a product will be in real life from the picture on the screen. But in this case both the description AND the picture are unhelpful. I was on the fence with the number of stars for the rating. For lower-temperature and variable-temperature uses, the tape won't even "meet expectations", so I gave it 2 stars; I did not even deduct another star for the odd color. If you need something that will stick like crazy, or stick in the cold, or stick to plastic that has a sheen to it, this is not for you. If you want hot pink, this is also not for you. Not sure how I will use it--I may just have to toss it and go to the store and make my selection where I can see the actual colors of the products and make a guess about stickiness. 3M really missed the mark on this one. Very disappointed.

good and pretty

Good duct tape not the strongest but not bad, pretty pink color my daughter loves fixing her pink toys. Good value, she loves tape for her arts and crafts, she is an arts and crafts master.

Decent tape

This tape didn’t stick as well on slicker surfaces and on walls. My primary intention was to use this tape to put flower stems on my wall. It started to peel off after a few days and I’m sure the constant humidity this summer was partly to blame. The pink color was slightly darker than picture shown. Cute tape to use for mailing out packages though!

Came in handy for our move

Super bright and very useful for moving. We used the pink tape to indicate which boxes were for a specific room. It was easy to see and all the correct boxes got in there. The only problem was we had to tape the boxes first with regular tape and this tape didn't hold well on the cardboard.

I AM MANLY ENOUGH TO USE HOT PINK DUCT TAPE!

Sticks as described. Used hot pink to make the tape extra-visible for medium-term setups [weeks] and noting tripping hazards.
