Good Stuff

Needed to color to blend it with where i wanted to put it. I was uncertain about this stuff because sometime tape labeled as duct tape isn't up to par...this stuff does the job great.

The previously undiscovered Achilles Heel of MOST duct tape? NOT WIDE ENOUGH!!

Seriously: this product has made me realize that the previously undiscovered flaw/weakness of MOST duct tape(s) is/are: sometimes (often, for me) they are just TOO d*** NARROW to grab the whole adhesion-job-site in ONE pass, width-wise. For instance, the latest time this provided uniquely useful was in patching up some trash bags that ended up getting some holes ripped/worn/scuffed into them before they got hauled out to the dumpster... multiple "skinnier" duct-tapings tend to gap/pull apart/leak "between" successively-laid-down-strips...where, with FOUR INCHES of side-to-side coverage (and EXTREMELY nicely sticky adhesion), I didn't even need to "X" the strips to get nice, gap-free, tight-seaked patch-ups in just secxonds (and, I've struggled with narrower patching materials in the past & even after a struggle, results were iffy: not with this stuff!) (At least) twice the adhesion surface area means, roughly, four times the tenacity of the bond...& eight times the peace of mind. ;)

Great adhesion and fantastic value for the price!

I was looking for 4 inch wide duct tape at least 15 feet long. This tape fit the bill and is very economical. The tape came with one small dent int the edge and that was enough to cause an issue. Even after massaging the divot and being especially carful pulling the tape from the roll, a small strip would still rip off the edge of the roll. I started over once to get rid of the rips and because the application is for edging a 2 inch wide slab of insulation foam, I ended up living with the intermittent jagged edge. The tape seems to be thinner than other brands of duct tape but that does not detract from its performance. The tape is very sticky, adheres well and looks like it will be durable. This is an indoor application. Overall I am very pleased with the tape and its performance. I also have more than enough leftover for addional projects.

Double Wide Duct Tape

In some cases where duct tape is the most convenient option, double wide tape is necessary. This is an indispensable item for making quick fixes around the house. For me, it was used to tape down window shades in order to stop leaking light. Adhered pretty well even to a vinyl-like surface.

Thinner than expected, doesn't tear as well. Wider than normal size roll.

I have been using gaffer tape for years on film shoots and decided to buy a roll quickly online. This one was a lot wider than the standard width (my fault for not checking the measurements). The tape seems thinner than the usual cloth feel that gaffer tape normally has and seems to be a lot harder to tear in a straight line due to this lesser structural make.

Looks good

Initially used a black version of this but it clashed with the brown eaves. As you can see from the pic, it camouflages the screwed seam very well (happy wife Happy life) This tape is very strong and sticks well. I don’t know how long it would last if exposed to Ultra violet (Sun). The black one is very good for that, last years in the hot sun.

Best tape for installing AC in the summer

Great for making quick work of big temporary jobs like installing the AC. I thought it was a bit pricey but it’s worth it. You get a massive roll of tape and I’ve been able to use it to install 3 air conditioners and still have have the roll left. I will definitely buy it again. It’s not crappy quality, low adhesion dollar bin tape.

Standard quality duct tape but not a lot better than the dollar store stuff

Really 3.5 stars. It works but not super well, and it usually leaves the nasty hard to remove residue. It's not super adhesive and doesn't hold too items too well.
