Have a good feeling to them...
Bottles have a good feeling to them, like they're thicker than a common soda bottle. I also like that they are a nice, dark amber-- good to protect beer from being damaged by too much light. I won't use the included caps, preferring to use the caps found on bottles of Walmart soda. They have a tapered ring inside that gets forced into the mouth of the bottle when it's completely tightened-down. They do not leak the carbonation if you go that far. All bottles in this order arrived in perfect condition. They look so good I'm considering buying two more boxes of sixteen each.

Feel flimsy and cheap
Bought them because they were recommended for MrBeer, but didn’t realize they were plastic, one of the bottles was bent even though the box shows no signs of stress… too much speed reading I guess… I did use them but will buy glass bottles with proper caps later

perfect for folks like me who just want to dabble in beer making for fun
I think if you are serious about getting into making beer, there are probably better options out there for you. My experience with Mr. Beer products has been mixed. The quality of the plastic kegs and the bottles isn't always the best, but then again--it is plastic, so I guess I shouldn't have expected too much. I will say that Mr. Beer customer service cannot be beat, and if you do have any issues with the quality of their products, they are quick to help out. I had some bottles arrive crushed and they were quick to send replacements. I've managed to make three different beers that turned out okay, but to be honest, they were nothing better than an average beer. Given some of the glowing reviews of beers people have made with their Mr. Beer kits, I had higher expectations. Perhaps the fault is my own, but I did follow the directions to the letter, including implementing additional tips that were emailed to me from Mr. Beer. Overall, I think the Mr. Beer products are perfect for folks like me who just want to dabble in beer making for fun. I think if I were to ever consider getting serious about producing a better quality product, I'd certainly have to invest in better equipment. But just for a fun little project--and to get to say you made your own beer--the Mr. Beer products are good.

Perfect for new brewer
Exactly as described and arrived quickly. Bought these to try with a Mr. Beer kit that I was given as a gift. I have never homebrewed before and really had no idea what I was doing. One of the upgrade suggestions I got for using these particular bottles is to avoid breaking the security band on the caps while santizing them before bottling the beer. It's easy to do and a real upgrade when sharing you beer with someone. People are so tuned into opening bottles like this and hearing/feeling the "snap" of the security band being broken that, when it's not present they inspect the bottle and have a questioning look before drinking it. It's a minor thing, but worth avoiding in order to improve the experience. Replacement caps are really inexpensive for future brews. Be aware that these bottles are 24oz (2 regular/typical sized beers). Also, the bottles are plastic. While I prefer glass, the plastic bottles offer the ability to perform a "squeeze test", a great way for new brewers to ensure good carbonation. I hope to advance to glass bottling in the future. Adding custom labels and filling diy wood caddies with my brews for gift giving. A fun new hobby for me. These totally reuseable plastic bottles should work well for learning the craft better, before I move forward.

Nice sleek design, big capacity in a little bottle
I thought these were the larger ones, like the size that came with our kit initially, and was disappointed at first, until I tested the volume capacity of these sleek little babies. Wow. They are able to hold 3&1/3rd cups of fluid, or about 28 ounces, leaving a 1 1/2 inch head space. So, not only do you get a good portion size, but these are shorter and will fit in the fridge without having to move the shelves about or lay them on their side like the bigger ones. Our next batch is not quite done fermenting, but I will update if they do not excel like all the other products we have purchased from Mr. Beer. We were a bit skeptical at first because how good can a little plastic 'keg' and some liquid mix be?, but we are really pleased with the outstanding results, flavor and value of their products. 1 caveat, to be honest, I have NEVER used their corn sugar solids as alcohol and body booster, with all the GMO corn in the US, I just wont subject our family to that, so instead we used 2 1/2 cups of natural blonde sugar, and we do use their yeast, but add 1/2 a package of Red Star premium champagne yeast so that we get a higher abv% and the champagne yeast has a higher tolerance to alcohol and doesn't die like brewers yeast tends to. It also does not have any aftertaste.

They're Bottles
I've used them once; they work well w/ the Mr. Beer kit I got for Xmas. They hold the amount of beer that the Mr. Beer kit produces. The caps screw on tightly and after the first use, they screwed back on tightly again. The caps are sturdy and I believe they can be used quite a few times. The bottles aren't as thick as I'd expected, but I'm guessing that's because, as described in the Mr. Beer instructions, when the bottles become very hard, the carbonation process is complete. I found that to be true, & if the plastic was much thicker, the bottle would be pretty hard to begin with. I think they're a lot more expensive than they should be, but they are exactly as described/pictured and do the job they were designed for well. Don't be fooled by the "Deluxe Bottling System" thing - what you're buying is bottles & caps. The description makes that clear. In my opinion, it's more than a little misleading to call this item a "Deluxe System" but the description is accurate. The box is sturdy & is useful for storing the beer during the carbonation phase. I think if proper care is exercised it will hold up to repeated usage. If you don't mind the price, I would recommend these.

Yep, they're bottles, albeit with one design flaw
These are plastic beer bottles all right. They're 500mL each, are of a fairly soft plastic, and have reusable black screw caps. It should be pointed out that like any other similar bottle, the caps will not retain the ring the second time you use them, as it cracks off like the safety caps of commercial pop bottles. They still seal, however, you just won't get the satisfying crack. The bottles themselves are fairly unremarkable. My only point of contention is that the bottom suffers from design and thinness of plastic, as during carbonation more than half of my bottles bulged at the bottom. This does not appear to affect the construction...popping it in and out manually doesn't seem to weaken the plastic but who knows. The main problem with this is that the bottles do not stand up properly with the bulged bottom, making them prone to toppling over in the fridge...and having yeast sludge mix into your beer before drinking is not really ideal. Thicker sturdier bases, like I've seen on other bottles and used in the past with generic no-name ones from local beer stores, would make these a much better buy. They've cheaped out on the plastic here and the product suffers for it. It's especially odd as the 1L Mr Beer branded bottles are fine as far as plastic bottles go.

Not as thick as some
Just did my first bottling with these. They kept denting in and did not seem as thick as some of the PET bottles. Otherwise as expected.

Has expected
The bottles have been used a number of times to make homemade root beer. They work ok for this but they do deform on the bottom when under pressure during fermentation which does cause them to fall over sometimes if not supported.
