yet the vice worked better than expected
For $19...wow. It is what it is but I can now drill stainless, mild steel, light cast iron work, and adding wood or plastic faces I can drill more secure, precise holes in woods and plastics. The white box with blue text that contained the vice was labeled "Delta" part no: 20-621, the box appeared to be legit though I didn't do an ink or DNA test. I do own a Delta table saw (TS) and the packaging resembles the saw's packaging. The vice only sports the numeral "4" and does not sport the Delta logo...which is suspect, yet the vice worked better than expected. I'm 6'3, 250lbs and torqued the bolted down vice to the best of my abilities and it tightened a 1.5" x 2.5" steel bar without stripping the lead screw or not performing to my expectations. I cannot complain about the vise at this price, it is solid and is good enough. It works great on my Drill Press, DP table, and holds the parts that I shouldn't hold in my hands under a DP. The vice is decently heavy yet easy to nudge into place if needed. I contemplated a 6 inch vice but for my DP and DP table the 4 inch was a great choice. My only gripes are I am not convinced this is genuine Delta and that there is a bit too much play when winding the jaws but not enough to scrap it. This is a decent $19 DP vice, not a Kurt.

Very acceptable for the price; Not the precession or grace of a $90 vise!
Based on this low price ($16.99), the vise is very deserving of 3.5 stars. It doesn't do well with round stock of varying sizes, as the sliding side of the clamp will lift up. Also, if you want to drop a piece of angle iron in here and tighten it down in a V angle.... forget it! The clamp will move and slip on you. The machining of the moving parts just was not precise enough, probably off by a few mm. I am using this mounted on an old oak stair tread to perform welding work on. Be very careful to cover the threaded rod, as one tiny splatter of steel will cause you probably with operation. I plan to add a little collar on the turning arm and then welding on a large washer to hold the collar on, followed by an old screw bit. I'll be able to open and close this vise very quickly with my cordless drill just by moving the collar over the pivot point on the threaded rod. I may go ahead and buy another one of these, as they are handy for the price.

Color is actually black. What I received. OK with me though.
Seems decent and sturdy. The color was black and it didn't have a number 4 cast into as pictured. Otherwise quite satisfied for a Chinese type vise.

Fuerte y fácil de usar
Me agrado lo fácil de instalar y que funciona perfecto en cuanto fijar piezas para poder trabajar.

Decent for the price
This vise is about what you'd have to expect for twenty bucks. Fit and finish is mediocre, but it does the job of holding something securely while drilling. Definitely beats trying to use your hand! While this vise might not fit on all drill presses, it fit on my Rikon product since it has eight slots in the table. I can usually only get two bolts in, but that is more than enough to hold it in place. I use another, smaller vise clamped into this one when I need to hold rods vertically or other things more securely (since the other vise is much higher quality, but smaller capacity). Gives me a poor man's "X-Y" vise.

Works.
Good clamping firmness. I wish I had a better drill press.

It is What You Get for the Money
The drill vise looks like third party work; it isn't the color of the item displayed on the Amazon web site, but approximates it in form although not in finish. The drill vise itself is a rough piece of work; the jaw faces are smoothly finished, but the jaws are wobbly. Not all the castings are finished leaving one jaw looking like the machinist didn't make his final cut on the back of the jaw. I had to file the slots for the bolts to be able to fit decent size bolts in the vise base. Although the Delta 20-621 drill press vice is supposed to fit the Delta 11-950 Type 2 Drill press the bolt slots on the drill press table and the drill press vice don't match up. The drill press table bolt slots are 4.5" center to center; the drill vise bolt slots are 5.25" center to center. The vise can be mounted at a diagonal on the table. I am going to make a base for the vise on plywood so I can use the drill vise straight on if I so choose.

Not heavy duty but still better than harbor freight.
Ok product for smaller mill parts.

Nicely build and heavy
If you're looking for a bench top vice to hold stuff this is really nice, its heavy enough that it will not move around easily. I am currently using the vice for my new 3d printer. it's gripping a monkey wrench used to hold the filament spool so it can spin around :-D I also taped cardboard at the bottom of the base so it would not scratch my new work bench as I have no plan to screw it is place, bought it to be used as a 3rd-hand holder for soldering.

4 inch drill press wise
This vise is good value for the price. The throat opening is just a hair under 4 1/4 inches, therefore it will hold any 4 inch stock. There is no markings of the Delta brand on this vise or country of origin or P/N number.

good general purpose drill press vice
the jaws do not have a vertical groove in the centre but they are removable and it would not be too difficult to make my own for specialized tasks. Some sharp edges around the handle swivel that I will take care of with a small file.

Perfect for a small project bench vice...
This vice is perfect for my amateur airgunsmith repair & modification projects. It is heavy enough , that I don't need to clamp it down, unless I am using a drill . Great value for the price!
