Works great.
Works great and gets the job done. I should have coughed up the extra ten bucks for the one that comes with the clamp though,.. using F-style clamps that I already had added considerable time to the project.

Can't get the case open?
As shipped, the case is secured with two TINY, trimmed zip ties tied through the security tabs - once you spot and cut the zip ties, the case opens MUCH EASIER! :-D The case is light but well laid out, having two levels - all the tool parts clip in place on the top divider, with room for the small groups of screws and plugs included in this kit. There are spots for this company's small clamp and single hole guide if you decide to add them later. This kit is quite acceptable for the hobbyist, perfect for carrying in the field or small projects. Intermediate or advanced woodworkers that anticipate moderate volumes might consider Kreg or Castle products.

missing part, but good customer service
Received the package in a timely manner. Everything looked good except the set screw for the lock collar was missing. Left an email on Saturday about it. Hope to hear from them by end of Tuesday. I think they have good customer service from reading other reviews which is why I bought it. Will update review when I know more. Early Tuesday as expected, I received an email that they have sent the missing part. Will update my review after I get to try it out. OK, I received a whole new lock collar with screw 5 business days later which is normal and made a test run the next day. It worked just fine and as expected a few small plastic shavings part the first time. I made a couple of holes also with my old Kraigs similar 2 hole unit. The holes were some what the same and similar depth. The MilesCraft unit was much easier to adjust for the different size boards. The Kraigs unit was very hard for me to adjust and in fact broke one part of it trying to adjust it earlier on about the 3rd time I used it. I couldn't find a way to order the replacement part from Kraigs web site, although it may have been possible? Anyway MilesCraft again demonstrated their good customer service that I did think they had. I did think that both units left more screw in the board it was attaching to than in the originating hole. While I haven't heard of anyone else saying that, I think I may have to move the collar up a bit from normal. Not Sure! Even though the original order was missing a set screw, I'm giving it 5 stars as customer service is an important thing and they seem to be very good.

It works
So my only complaint with this kit is it doesn’t come with anything to clamp it down with. So if you don’t have a clamp already it is hard to use but will work.

A cheap substitute for a Kreg Jig.
This functions as designed. If you have patience and you are not doing a big project that requires a lot of pocket screws this will work for you..... HOWEVER... if you can see a few projects in your future... or you really enjoy working with wood, I suggest that you either save your money and buy a KREG JIG K4 kit or if your budget allows... the K5 kit is awesome. I have 2 KREG JIG K4 kits and I've built a few beds and tables... a bookshelf, and other stuff. If I had to use the Milescraft Pocket Jig or the Kreg Jig R3 kit I don't think I would have kept building stuff. This Milescraft Pocekthole kit is a great addition to your toolbox for small repairs for stuff like broken legs on kitchen chairs, broken drawers, etc... but for building stuff, nothing beats the Kreg Pocket Hole K4 jig for ease of use and price. I bought his kit because at the time I only had one Kreg K4 kit and it was 1200 miles away in my garage at home. I was doing some repairs at our other home in Arizona and didn't want to spend $149.00 on a tool I already had.... yeah... that didn't pan out so well... so after fighting with the Milescraft kit for a couple days I gave up and looked for another Kreg K4... I found one on sale for $99.00 and bought it. The Milescraft works as designed... and like I said... if all you're doing is small repairs or the occasional project, this will work just fine. Do not expect this kit to hold up to a lot of use, and any manhandling will leave you with a broken tool. It is not built as solidly as the Kreg kits. If you want to actually build stuff.... the KREG JIG is the only way to go. Or... if you use 2X4 or 2X6 wood most often, and you can find one at a reasonable price, the PORTER CABLE QUIKJIG is another good choice. The KREG K5 kit is the best kit out there but the price puts it out of reach for many hobbyists. FYI... my 2 cents... do not try to use drywall screws for pocket holes. Genuine Kreg screws work best and are no more expensive than the cost of drywall screws and broken boards that don't hold together correctly. Use the genuine Kreg screws.

Great value for the money and easy to use
I was deciding between the cheapest KREG and this Milescraft upgraded version, and in the end I went for the latter because of the added value with the included screws, storage case and the fact that it could accept all types of clamps. I haven’t used a Kreg before but I could see the benefit of having a exit hole for the wood dust, with the milescraft I have to draw the drill bit one or twice per pocket hole to clear the drilling path. Other than that I’d say it’s relatively easy to use, in my third attempt at making pocket holes ever I managed a near perfect result. It comes with a variety of screws and wood plugs which is a nice touch and probably enough to finish one or two small projects. They include one 3” and one 6” torx drive bit which is necessary to drive the screws in pocket holes in materials deeper than 1”. Some people said their bit broke, I have only tested with pine up to 1.5” and 3/4” plywood and didn’t feel any resistance or bending of the bit, but maybe with hard wood it can differ. I’ll update the review if anything happens but so far I think it is a nice jig. PD: Order extra screws right away if you intend to use this for a medium or larger size project.

Great product for anyone who needs a safe and simple way to enable woodwork jointing.
Absolutely love this product. Recommended by a builder friend; the pocket hole jig has saved so much time and made joining timbers easier to construct. Highly recommend this product.

Check the type of screwdriver needed as Torx are supplied
Everything arrived on time and in good condition, this unit is good for 1x3 lumber or wider, there are only 2 drill guides which means quite a bit of readjusting to get 2 pocket holes drilled in smaller dimensions. System was easy to use and works fine once you get used to it. Extremely annoying was that the screwdriver bits supplied are ‘Torx’, there is no mention of this in the ad or on the photo shown, all pocket holes screws sold locally are No. 2 Philips or Robertson, meaning an extra cost when the few supplied screws are used up.

Great tool!
I love this thing! I just started some small woodworking jobs around the house and my friend recommend a pocket hole jig so I picked this one up because of the price. it made making screws easily invisible making my wood working skills seem better than they are! Fairly easy to use, there is even a YouTube tutorial from the manufacturer online if you get confused. 2 points that could be improved. - This kit comes with a Torques bit, a Robinson would be much more practical. - The stop you use on the jig is made of plastic and flexes easily, a clamp can mitigate the movement however it would be nice if it was more ridged.
