Perfect!

Bought this for 4 year old whose parent is a police officer. He adores his daddy and so this was perfect. Purchased with walk-in talkies. They work perfect together and he is just like Daddy now! Not too heavy - he operates it just fine on his own! His favorite gift! (Works just fine for adults too!}

Convenient and easy to use

Was using Midland hand sets, and was not convenient while running the trails. This add on was a great buy, and very handy. Will highly recommend.

Wearable mic and receiver for walkie-talkie

Easy to use can’t hear very well with it. It’s better communication, then just using the walkie-talkie alone.

A great addition to many Midland radios

I have a Midland 75-822 CB and also recently purchased a pair of Midland LXT600 FRS radios, so I figured that this would be a good option to have around. First up - I had read a review of this speaker / mic on here that stated it would work for the 75-822 CB radio, and indeed it does. The cord is long enough for my use, either when used in a vehicle or portable (with the radio on my belt) in the field. It's lightweight, small - and appears rugged enough to last a good while. The audio is decent, not terrible or the best.... about average for a speaker of it's size. It is better than the factory speaker in the FRS and CB radios, and the mic sounds good on tx / rx. For the price, this is an excellent addition to the Midland radios I have, I will definitely purchase one more of these in the near future for use on job sites and outdoor rec.

Pros and cons, the clip definitely a con

Let's start with the good, the mic is comfortable to wear. It's pretty clear and easy to hear. Now for the bad, I used the mic daily for just under three weeks. Regular use, I come from an audio production background and do take very good care of my equipment. The clip on the back broke after about 2 and a half weeks of use due to what looks like a design flaw. I contacted Midland support and they refused to help in really any way. They don't even offer a replacement clip for sale much less offer to replace the defective product. I ended up running a return through Amazon. On a side note, a buddy of mine said his work place purchases the over ear mics in bulk because the clips break so frequently and they can only be trashed after.

So glad I tried it

We belong to a car club. We go on trips and take the CB. I am navigator which means I am writing and doing things with a pen and a clipboard. I report each turn on the CB. My husband suggested this clip on Mike for convenience. I was skeptical but it works. I clip it to my shirt, I don’t have to look around for it or hold it. It’s great. Everyone says they hear me loud and clear. Trust me that is important when you want 17 or more cars of people to hear where to turn.
