Not exactly quality construction but it's inexpensive
It's halfway decent for the price, but the quality is questionable. There is one made by Abree that looks a bit better quality that I'd like to try, but this one isn't bad. You just have to be careful not to put too much pull or pressure on the plugs as you use it. They aren't exactly super strong, and mine occasionally doesn't transmit from the handset because the plugs occasionally shift, ever so slightly, due to their poor stability.

Good mic. Speaker could be better.
Works better if you get the 2mm male to 3.5 female adapter so you can plug in an external speaker. Mic/speaker is only loud enough if you have it near your ears. The adapter plugs into the mike and you can use whatever mono 3.5 speaker that you want.

This one is VERY GOOD, but the first one I bought a year ago was Junk and Counterfeit!
I was real nervous buying this "Baofang" Speaker/Mic because the last one I bought off Amazon was terrible, you couldn't hear anything with it and outgoing voice was garbled. I really think it was a Counterfeit Baofeng and returned it. This one is VERY GOOD, clear sound both ways, though a little "thin" sounding, but more than loud enough. I use it for Off-roading and Airsoft, so the sound quality is important.

Does not work on Midland handheld
The speaker mic itself of decent enough quality for 8 bucks, the plastic feels light weight and depressing the TX button isn’t exactly satisfying. I didn’t have high expectations though for the price, just wanted something for light use when driving OHV trails. Unfortunately I can’t fairly comment on its actual performance due to the fact it wasn’t compatible with my Midland gmrs handheld (GXT1000) that I took a chance hoping to use this with, the plugs fit my radio port but it wasn’t functioning correctly - no audio through the speaker mic and it was also automatically transmitting without depressing the TX button the entire time it was plugged in. No fault of the product, it didn’t specify compatibility with Midland. Probably just going to keep the speaker mic and buy a Baofeng gmrs handheld to go with it since they’re cheap radios anyway.

Nice
I work in tactical and club security, I was able to attach to my vest, link well with out radios, I actually discarded my other ear piece. It do feel light but I came across no issues

Too quiet.
This mic is way too quiet for what I need, I'm a medic/range saftey with a firearms training company on initial testing (turning on my Baofeng uv-5r) it seemed quiet but after doing some basic communication stuff I'd say either buy a better mic, or go with an actual headset. Total garbage.

Very small, but effective.
This hand-held microphone is on the same scale as the Baofeng GT-5R - small. I have medium-size hands, and the microphone is small in comparison. That isn't bad, simply letting you know. The sound quality is at least as good as the radio itself. Now I can use the radio without having the antenna inches away from my head. PRODUCT UPDATE: Microphone stopped working after having it only a few months. It was used exclusively inside, so there's very little reason for it to malfunction. ADDITIONAL UPDATE: I purchased the waterproof Baofeng microphone for a few dollars more ($11 vs $8), and recommend that one over this. The waterproof microphone has far louder and clearer sound vs this. The common complaint with this microphone is that I needed to get closer to the mic and speak louder. The new waterproof version is a definite improvement.

BAOFENG Speaker MIC For BAOFENG
As advertised, arrived on time, very well made.

OK but not great.
This microphone/speaker works decent but it feels "cheap". Very lightweight and the cord is very stiff. The button feels Ok and works crisply but the overall feel is of a "cheap" product. Of course the price is VERY low and I think I did still get value for my money.

Poor quality control
Firstly, NOT the seller's fault, but the manufacturer's. Due to poor construction: 1. the PTT rattles...poor quality from the start, 2. the smaller pin WILL NOT stay engaged in the radio, because its NOT straight. The smaller pin is angled relative to the larger one. They SHOULD be parallel to each other. Because of this the smaller pin will not stay engaged in the socket of the radio. The very weight of the mic cord causes the pin to disengage, loosing the speaker function. There is NO WAY to make it stay in place without putting an elastic band around the radio to HOLD the plug in place. And it so happens that on my radio that puts the elastic band TOO close to the PTT button on the radio. Yes, I cheaped out on an inexpensive mic...but this isn't a case of 'cheap equals junk', it's a case of POOR quality control during construction. It's a microphone, they aren't that complicated (when it comes to hand held microphones). Another issue is that jack for the earphone, on the microphone, does not cut out the mic's speaker when a headset is plugged into the mic's jack. You hear BOTH the headset/earphone AND the speaker on the mic. Rather UNDOING the entire point of using an earpiece with the microphone. Spend a few extra $$'s for a better microphone. And AVOID this particular one. (FYI, I highly doubt this is an actual 'Baofeng' product. Given that the included 'earbud/mic' fits perfectly fine...I'd think Baofeng has mastered how to make a mic stay plugged in)

Light duty
It works fine, sound quality is equivalent to a uv5r, much lighter and cheaper feeling than expected

A good match with the Baofeng radio
I liked the audio jack on the speaker mic which allows the connection to a recorder. I found that handy in my application.
