I ordered this to replace another, more expensive treatment. I like that it’s bio-clean and doesn’t harm the birds.

Works

This product does help keep our birdbath water clean during the very hot sunny days in S. Cal. The only request we made to the company was if the product could be packaged in a larger size than just 4oz. Because the size is so small we have to reorder frequently.

My birds highly recommend this product!

In Florida we have lots of sun and heat. These are ideal conditions for the growth of algae. I have been using 10BBC4-24D exactly as directed and have had very good results. Clean the birdbath first and start using the product weekly. I did this and the water has remained clear. My bird bath is plastic and very light. When the cats jump on it to try to get to the birds it falls over and soaks them. Now they leave it alone. I assume the product will work as well in concrete bird baths.

This is a disappointment!

I used this in a clean birdbath with fresh water. Two days later, the water was filthy and green with algae. I tried it again, with a "water wiggler" to keep the water moving. Same result. I was hoping this product would spare me from cleaning and refilling the bird bath every day during this very hot summer, but it's not working for birds in Massachusetts!

Doesn't work, makes things worse

This product claims to stop algae growing, instead what I found is that it serves as a medium for gross brown sludge to grow in the birdbath. I tried it three times and each time I got the same result. Finally I stopped using it and simply use bleach to clean every few days.
