Questo tavolo con piano in composito stampato 30 x 15 è un'alternativa intelligente al legno, che nel tempo ha il potenziale di rompersi o sbucciarsi, creando spigoli vivi e un terreno fertile per i batteri.

Great table
Fits above bed perfectly
Scritto da: Christine P.
UPDATED: Fed up with the locking casters.
Earth to Manufacturer: a person confined to bed does not need locking casters on a rolling table. Because they will not stay unlocked, I will be replacing them with non-locking casters. Casters that lock themselves make the table very difficult to move. The casters do not maneuver easily over carpet, anyway; I bought one of those heavy plastic office chair mats to cover the carpet. Assemble with EXTREME CAUTION. ALWAYS HOLD THE ENDS OF THE SPRING-LOADED COLUMN POINTED AWAY FROM YOUR FACE. The assembly instructions contain a brief warning about this hazard, but it should be printed on the front page, in 36-point Helvetica Bold. The spring-loaded column could release tension and knock out teeth or break bones. My son was not holding the piece when it released, but the violence of the release was still a rude shock. The part needs to have a long screw all the way through the column to keep it secure until assembly is complete. (If the little screw on one side of the column was supposed to perform that function, it completely failed: it was too short, it was loose in the hole, and the threads were full of plastic, presumably from the plastic liner of the column.) When first assembled, it does not seem that the height adjustment latch will function to keep the table top at the desired position, but when in use with a small amount of weight atop the table it works adequately. Perhaps weights could be added to the underside of the table top (in a couple of the many rectangular spaces there) to keep the height in a desired position when there is no load. The table rises high enough to be clear of the foot of a hospital bed that's been raised to its highest position. Otherwise, the table appears well made. The welds look good on the H-shaped platform, and the casters screw securely into their holes. The top is made of thick gray plastic with a slight countertop rim to it, and it should hold up better than a laminated, edge-banded particleboard top would. I'm not sure how beneficial the textured surface will be, but it's because of the texture that the surface is easily scratched, and the scratches are readily apparent. The assembly instructions also could stand some updating and revision for clarity, because they're used to describe more than one model of table. For best in-bed-use results, position the table on the side of the bed that corresponds to the dominant hand of the bed's occupant. Otherwise, position the table on the side of the bed opposite to the side from which the occupant will exit the bed: this is why the table does not extend all the way across a twin or hospital bed (if it did, it would obstruct the way to get out of the bed). This product is a decent value for the price, and it's not difficult to assemble, but it lost points for the injury risk, the need for a little extra weight to the table top, poor maneuverability due to casters that won't stay unlocked, and the ease with which the table top surface can be marred with scratches (if possible, I'd give it a 2 1/2 instead of a 3-star rating).

Good bedside table
Good bedside table. Strong table. My only concern was the instruction manual did not match the product received.

UPDATED: Bewildering adjustment issue out of the box
Same issue as others here, table goes to full height and won’t stay down AT ALL. How this made it out of the factory is bewildering. They had to strap the vertical post with plastic to keep it from shooting out the side of the box. Nice safety touch but IT WON’T STAY DOWN AT ALL and no one noticed? Other than that, seems well made. Ordered a replacement. We’ll see how it goes. Update: The replacement table appears to work just fine. A minor difference (which may have to do with the assembly lot) is the lower bracket plate on the bottom. On this table, it is just a heavy metal plate. On the table that did not function properly, it was a hammered metal coated plate with a little “U” in it, sort of like an omega sign; prettier but of no consequence. A major difference, however, is that the spring on this table also does not appear to be as insanely strong as the other table; I tested it and it provides enough resistance to compensate for the weight of the tabletop itself; this is an improvement. With this table, after I raise or lower it, if I release the lever and press down on the table itself a bit, the height of the table locks and will not move up or down until i squeeze the lever. I honestly do not know if the prior table functioned that way because it is not mentioned in the instructions. Changing the rating to 3 stars because there are some serious quality control issues. Update: I am enjoying the table. I’m 6’3” and the table extends high enough to be used as a standing desk, this is an unexpected bonus.

Love but casters are a pain
I love the table it works very well for what it is used for I would just love to know the size of the casters for replacement. Ex. 7/8, 5/16. I’ve tried numerous I cannot find the same size I do not want the ones that come with the table they are not easy to clean if residue and hair.

Wonderful Bedside Table
This table is everything I anticipated. The casters allow it be positioned as needed. The tray is very easy to wipe clean, it will not chip. I have raised the height with no problem. Assembly was easy, read instruction first. Included were tools and hardware. It is very sturdy. I keep my humidifier and various other heavy items with no problem.

A well made which just feels solid.
Medline Overbed Table, Composite Top I took delivery of this table with apprehension because I had just sent back a piece of junk I bought here made by Drive Medical. The Drive Medical table was a disaster, had incorrect drawings on the instruction page and after nearly 3 hours assembling it, it wouldn’t stay in the up position. I needed a heavy weight table because I wanted to put my 27" computer (21 pounds) on top of it so I could use it in bed. This table can hold up to 50 pounds where most others for sale could handle 25 pounds or 40 pounds. I also wanted a table that didn’t tilt since I had a previous computer fall to the floor because the table it was replacing didn’t lock into place. This table is well made using heavy gauge steel. It assembled in 20 minutes and Medline even included all the tools I needed to assemble it. The directions were clear and included pictures not just incorrect drawings. The top glides up and down smooth and easily. It rolls well on the wood floor but needs a little extra effort on carpet. The wheels are typical of these products and sometimes I have to move the table in an oval until the wheels are going in the direction I want. The table just feels solid and strong and I am very happy with it. Oh, here is a tip. If you are placing a heavy computer or monitor on an overbed table, invest in some c-clamps to secure it to the table. It's worth the $5.

Maneuverability
I use the table at different heights and this makes my work easier. The table has foot locks for a sturdy hold but is also very maneuverable so I can roll from one area to another. Good product at a good price.

WARNING! CUT PLASTIC WITH CAUTION!
There should be a warning label on the silver column that is wrapped in tight plastic. It springs up so violently that it could seriously injure someone. It is written in the instructions, but if you're like me and don't read every single line before unpackaging, you could put an eye out or worse. It socked my friend in the jaw and luckily didn't break any bones. Other than that, it's a fairly sturdy table, easy to assemble. It feels a bit cheap and is a little rickety sounding, but it does what it should, and goes up and down very easily. But holy cow, I've never unpacked an item like this that flies at least a foot or more with the force of a bullet. Yikes!

gets warped very quickly
being that its made out of a composite material, it warps quickly. within about a week, I could notice a twist in the table top. frame and everything is great, but the composite top itself is not very strong got warped very quickly. I will try to call in customer service and see what they say

Defective pieces
At first glance we saw defects and they should not have made it out of the factory. Three minutes was all it took - took it out of the box - saw defects....was defective and did not work and packaged it back up!
