Fits Therma-Tru Door

Purchased a Therma-Tru door at Lowe's. The sill extender is not available in the store at Lowe's. Emailed the manufacturer a few times to see where to purchase a sill and jamb extender. They referred me to Lowe's. I went to Lowe's and the sales associate called a distributor and was informed that a sill and jamb extender kit isn't available and was told to order a door with the needed jamb. Contacted the manufacturer again and was told to ask the sales associate to check on just the sill extender. After working with a sales associate for over an hour they ordered an extender that was supposed to fit that took a couple weeks to arrive. However, it didn't fit and I returned it. Order this one and it fits without issue. Only thing I noticed is the pattern of lines on the this one isn't an exact match to the door but is acceptable.

The Extender fits Masonite door thresholds from Lowes

I purchased one of these about 15 years ago at Lowe's for a door I got there. Now, Lowe's no longer carries them. I saw these on line at Amazon, and for the cost, I decided to give it a try. They work great. They basically clip on to the existing threshold. There is a piece of metal at the bottom that hooks it to the threshold when it is pushed into place. I just wanted readers to be aware that this fits when you need the threshold to extend out a bit more than the threshold mounted on the door frame.

Fit reliability door

Bought a 4” wide door at Lowes but needed to convert to 6” framing. Built wood frame but needed threshold. This fit the Reliabilt door perfectly. Only wish is everyone used the same pattern in the threshold but besides that it works well.

Worked for Me (Pella Door)

I purchased a Pella door at a large box store. The door installed easy and looks great, but there was a small gap between the new door sill and the exterior house bricks. This item easily snapped onto my Pella door sill (after the door was already installed). Its a silver extension. I was planning to paint it black to match the door sill, but it looks fine so I am probably just going to 'leave it as is'. Easy install. I feel like it is on there really snugly. I wasn't sure if the item would work with a Pella, but it worked with mine!

Great Fit!

Received in new condition vs other folks who received in damage/scuffed condition. A curved lip should fit on your existing threshold and snaps in place with a bottom lip. Had to use a rubber mallet but other than that it’s a perfect fit. Our threshold/door jamb is from Endura and had no fitment issues.

Worked for me

I had planned on reusing the old one, but it was slightly different and wouldn’t snap into the threshold. Neither Home Depot, Lowe’s, or Menards carries them. I went to the M-D website to get the correct part #. It was cheaper from Home Depot, but I needed it fast. My only gripe was that it was maybe a 1/4” shorter than the M-D threshold that it snapped into. It does take some work to snap it in. I’m guessing that’s by design. Once it’s snapped in, you don’t have to worry about it coming back out.
