Works well
Works well Power cord is light weight Inflated RV Class C tire

It just works
Have just used it couple of times so far, but is solidly built, and tire valve on/off operation is easy with long necked valve stem provided. Cord does seem small gauge, but didn't overheat. Pressure gauge reads high vs. hand-held pressure gauges; would be nice to have a calibration adjustment (I trust my hand-held gauges). Not too noisy (thank you!). Topped up my passenger car tires and small SUV tires, including the spares up to 60 psi, without problems. Looking forward to long use.

Off Road Geek Advisor. With follow up.
Powerfull and very quiet tire inflator. I used in a off road trip in what we have to deflate the tires of 3 Rubicon Jeeps to meke them more fit to the terrain. As you know there is not a lot of space in the back of these trucks as many other crossovers cargo area. I am talking the small compartments underneath the cargo mats. The inflator is well made, excellent material and craftmanship. The inflator fit perfectly in the cargo area that the jeeps have in the back and allow you to carry a lot more staff. What I did is that I have an inverter installed in the back of my Jeep and with the car running I was able to reinflate all the 12 Jeep's tires back to 35 Lbs when we finished hammering them. Well, as I was telling you the truck has to be running the engine to prevent draining your bateries off power. I was amazed that we just not only finished the task in a extremely short period of time but the tire inflator was not hot as I expected, in fact after it was just warm. The brass connector did get really hot. Another advice to make the little rubber pieces of the base of the pump last longer is to use a piece of wood under the inflator. We have a long electrical extension because the tire inflator comes with a short electric cable, but the rubber hose is quite long and in my opinion it could reach a big tall tire inflator valve with no problem. But keep in mind that the short electrical cable safed a lot of space. It is safe to inflate bicycle tires but you have to be watching the pressure gauge because it IS FAST!!!!. I recommend this product. I hope you like this review and then I am planning to put a video. I wrote this in 2015. Edited to make it shorter. 5th Year follow up. The Pump is still working nicely. No problems at all. Very sturdy. Best big tire Inflator ever. I saw price went higher, but there is a reason for it.

Questionable longevity
I got this machine a few years ago and was initially very impressed. It did everything advertised and more. Unfortunately since then (and very light use in between), I can no longer count on it. When it works, it's great, but all too often it won't even turn on. Nothing has been bumped or over-used, but it is acting as if there's an internal wiring problem and, of course, it is way out of warranty. A pity as I thought this would be the last inflator I would ever have to buy. Now I need to find a replacement I can trust.

Solid, quiet compressor - flimsy power cord.
I just received this compressor and have only used it a couple of times but it seems to be well built and is quieter than other compressors of this size. I gave it only 4 stars because I was surprised but how flimsy the power cord appears, especially considering the high cost of this unit. It's thinner than the power cords on my household lamps and doesn't seem like it would stand up to the strain of moving the compressor around when filling the tires on my cars. I'll have to be careful with it and I'll update this review after it gets a lot more use.

Nice Little Pump
Very nice little pump. Smaller than I thought (though this is not a problem). This is replacing an older tire pump I had that was always annoyingly load. The older pump required you to clamp on the hose to the valve stem, turn on an awkward slide switch, I would wait some period of time for the tire to inflate, take the hose off, test the tire for air pressure with a separate pressure gauge, then repeat this process at least one or more times until air pressure was right. This new pump easily attaches to the valve stem by threading it on (very positive connection), turn on via an easily accessible toggle switch, watch the built-on pressure gauge until the desired pressure is achieved, then turn it off. Done. Nice & simple and MUCH quieter. Though it is not made in the US (always a disappointment), at least it is not made in communist China - rather I was glad to see it was made in Taiwan.

Would be 5 Stars if it Had Automatic Shutoff When Desired Pressure Reached
I've only had this pump a short time but here are my initial observations: Pros: So much quieter than my 20 year old Black and Decker air pump. Small, lightweight. Quality materials and design. Overload protection circuitry to prevent pump damage. Powerful so desired pressure is reached quickly (compared to my old pump). Cons: No automatic shutoff when desired pressure is reached. Pathetic 1 page instruction sheet. No mention of a warranty. Pricey. Other facts: Made in Taiwan. I wish it was made in the U.S.

Inflation time is excellent, although of course progress slows considerably as higher ...
It is hard to get away from the fact that the real standout feature of the Volcano “Air Erupt” tire inflator is the price, which is up to three times that of its competitors, perhaps more. The AC-only motor does seem well made. It runs much more quietly than any other that I have heard, and it seems well balanced. It does not jump around or vibrate much at all. To achieve a given pressure, it does not appear to work as hard as the alternatives on the market. The range of the built-in pressure gauge is 0 to 150 psi. It is small in diameter; each increment represents 5 psi. You are not, therefore, going to set your pressures to a precise value using the built-in gauge alone. You must over-inflate, then bring the pressure back down to the desired level using another, more precisely marked gauge that you supply. This is not too surprising; I would not rely on the built-in gauge on any inflator. For A 2.5 amp motor, the electrical cord supplied with the unit is of a very lightweight gauge and is at odds with the overall built quality. Inflation time is excellent, although of course progress slows considerably as higher psi values are reached. The unit is advertised as shutting off automatically before a motor damaging temperature is reached. Assuming it can be relied upon, this is a valuable feature, as it is overheating that typically destroys these devices. The tire valve connector is the screw-on rather than the cam lever type. This makes for a much more secure connection, but of course some air is lost while it is being unscrewed. This is not a problem for vehicle tires, but it means that the unit is not very suitable for bicycle tires. It does concern me that there is no contact information regarding the actual manufacturer, and no support that I can find as to the availability of replacement parts. In a way, this review is premature as the real test of the unit will be how long it lasts. That will determine if it was worth the price premium. Certainly, no one forced me to spend more money for what seemed a higher quality product than is typically found at big box or auto parts stores. So far, it has performed very well, and I have been impressed with the smooth running.

Pricey, but good.
Solid strong performer. Quality built, has no cons after first two weeks of use. Highly recommended. Very quiet comparing to cheep ones.

Great product.
This product is worth the extra cost (compared with other cheap inflators). Perfect for maintaining your car tires without leaving your garage, especially in the middle of winter.
