Decent rower but…

Rower is stable and suits me well at 6’3” tall and weight of 300#. It does have a couple of issues though. The first being the height of the seat from the ground. If you are able to squat with your rear 8” off the ground then it isn’t an issue, but I can’t. I can get pretty low but eventually I just have to drop and hope my aim is on the mark with the seat. Sometimes it is, sometimes not so much. To combat this, I made some boxes out of 2”x8” boards. This raised the machine up 8” and it’s stable so now I can workout without wondering if the seat will shoot out and leave me straddling a center support, (ouch!). The second issue is the little screen/counter. The only way to turn it off is to remove the batteries. Leave them in and it’s dead in a couple of weeks or sooner. I wouldn’t buy this one again if I had the option, I’d get one similar that sits higher.

Decent but seat uncomfortable

Overall decent product, however seat very uncomfortable. Would recommend purchasing separate seat cushion. Hard on tailbone.

Half the price, all the cardio

Honestly this machine has more or less exactly met my expectations. I’ve put over 10,000 strokes on it in less than a month and it has held up well, it’s honestly a great workout especially for the price. There are no issues that I foresee having with the mechanics of it in the near to mid range future. Yes some of paint has chipped (very very minor), yes the computer is cheap (I don’t need anything more than the stroke counts and time, it does that fine), yes the plastic parts are cheap, and yes the handle bar could be a bit wider but guess what… this thing is $400-$2000 cheaper than most other options. After putting it through pretty heavy usage with the max water in the tank all the functional parts of the machine have held up. I gave 4 stars because the computer glitched out on me. I tried everything including pulling the batteries and nothing helped so I pulled the batteries overnight and the computer worked just like normal the next day and no issues since. One of my concerns from other reviews was that it wouldn’t give enough resistance for a good workout… If you aren’t getting a good work out on this you either aren’t doing it long enough or aren’t using correct form so check out YouTube before you give up on the machine. Also I’m 6’2” and I don’t hit the stopper at full extension but I’m REALLY close. Like 8th of an inch close. I also have long legs but I would be careful at the 6’3” plus range on this if you are tall. Overall I could probably give it 5 stars considering the price but due to some quality control issues and the already glitchy monitor I’m sticking with 4. Not at all disappointed though, got pretty much exactly what I expected.

worth the money& plenty of resistance for any beginner-advance looking for cardio& body workout.

That price point this row machine is worth the money and has plenty of resistance in any setting. The row machine is extremely sturdy at (300lbs) capable and offers anyone the cardio and body workout I was are looking for at home. The best features at this price are sturdy, adjustable, non-moving secure foot pedals and a large seat and a smooth track. The only draw back would be the bare essential computer panel. Please, know that manufactures shipping box and storage of this item needed improvements and was delivered to me excessively damaged both times. The second one I kept with minor scratches and one dent in the metal in the rear base. Overall, this did not effect the performance of the row machine but nevertheless this is unacceptable to anyone buying products from Amazon as this product was not delivered by a second party on both occasions. This is why I give a 4 star rating. I hope you found this post to be helpful.

Great rowing machine, but the computer lets it down

This was my first time with a water rower - ay my gym I use a Concept II. As most coverage of water rowers will tell you, you do get a great rowing experience with a fraction of the noise. The one drawback with these type rowers is that adjusting the resistance is a bit of a chore, as it requires adding or removing water from the tank. I started out with the water in the middle of the range and I would say it is about equivalent to having a concept II set to level 5, or maybe a bit higher. I'm 6'2" tall, and I do fine on this machine, but I think I'm coming within an inch or two of the end of the slide, so if you are 6'4" or taller, you might need to look elsewhere. The box is very heavy, and a bit of a challenge to move about, but the assembly is pretty straightforward. I don't think it took me more than 20-30 minutes. The one letdown for this particular rower is the computer. It is not backlit, and requires a LOT of direct light to be visible. It also tears through my rechargeable batteries (amazon basics) - I find myself having to swap them out at least once a week, which is crazy for such a simple device. It is obviously consuming a lot of power even when "off". It would have been nice if the computer could have been powered by the rowing action itself (like the concept II), but this seems pretty typical for machines in this price range. The nail in the coffin for the computer though is that it doesn't get the strokes per minute right. I'm doing around 500 strokes in 20 minutes, and it is telling me I'm getting 45-50 strokes per minute??? While I use my Garmin to capture stroke rate (which it does accurately) I do want to get the distance recorded off the machine - but this does not give me any faith that it is getting the distance right. .. and now I just looked at the 500m split time - it is telling me 42 seconds, which is obviously very, very wrong. Maybe my unit came with an older version of the computer though, because the manual talks about there being L1-L15 settings on the computer, and mine only goes from L1-L6.

Great rower at a great price

I enjoy using this to change things up once in a while. I was surprised at the difficulty level. I consider myself a strong dude but I'm pretty winded by the 8 min mark. I like using this as a warm up to my workout. I don't know what kind of Olympians are on Amazon saying that this machine's resistance isn't up to par, but it's more than enough for me. I've been using it for about two months steady now and it's held up tremendously.

Great so far...

I'm impressed.... I'm over 300 lbs... bought this as it has a 300 lbs. Max capacity... very well built... very easy to assemble...extremely quiet... small in stature... easy to move. Had it for a week... hopefully it will remain this good!

Great value for the money.

I've been using this rowing machine for over a year. It works great and had a little difficulty with one part of putting it together, but overall it was fairly easy to assemble. It works great and gets well used. I do find that it moves quite a bit when you are using it. It folds up for storage. I was hoping that it would fold up a little more compact than it does. The rollers work ok but I find it awkward to move. I wish they had put locking wheels on both parts of the rowing machine for easier moving and also to help it stay stationary when you are using it. It doesn't fold up that much which I found a little disappointing, but it is a great workout and reasonably priced.
