Nice finish

I love the finish but I had to do several coats of paint I don't know if I wasn't doing it right or the previous color was very bright but at the end I liked the result, is still a work on progress but it's getting there.

Easyt to use

I used this for a small half bath in a rental home. It had old pinkish tile that was still in good condition except for the outdated color. It took two or three coats to finish and it looks quite nice and fresh now. There were hardly any runs. Make sure to work in a clean area to avoid dust or other particles getting on the paint. Quite pleased with the outcome and definitely a lot less costly than replacing the tile.

Goes a long way

I am 73 and do not like to paint. However, I painted white lower cabinets Serenity in one weekend, allowing drying time before 2nd coat. My favorite new paint. Goes on easily. The finish is smooth and feels hard. Beautiful color blue/teal. I love it. I ordered more in different color for bathroom vanity.

It had arrived used

The media could not be loaded. It had arrived used. Also, it had spilled a little bit of paint in the box had to throw out the box. It was a big mess.

Very happy with results

Wanted to update my counters without the expense of tearing out the tiles. I read the reviews and decided to try this paint. I applied several , 4 to 5 thin layers using a small foam roller. It dried quickley so rolling out and correcting drips and creases quickly are important. Very pleased wirh with the results, time will tell how durable it is.

Better than chalk paint.

I love this paint, I’ll never use chalk paint again. This paint has great coverage and doesn’t drip. I prefer the finish to a chalk paint, it’s easier to clean. I will be purchasing more for other projects. It has a great price also.

Some good/some bad and a steep learning curve but overall loved this paint

I have such mixed feelings about this paint. It is beautiful and thick when you open it with a blue tint but goes on and dries perfectly black. Even though it said you did not have to prep the surface, I sanded and washed my cabinet doors before applying this paint. Goes on nice and smooth and evenly. I did 2 solid coats of paint, letting it dry for days in between with a final 3rd touch up coat before remounting. I remodeled my kitchen before I moved in so was not living in or using the kitchen when I painted my cabinets. Because of this there were several days drying time between coats and before remounting which I thought would be plenty to let them cure thus avoiding any chipping as mentioned in other reviews. Unfortunately, I found myself touching up EVERY single door after they were re hung. I painted the inside of my cabinets and have open shelves so glasses and dishes are touching the paint. After a week, there were scuff marks everywhere from plates being slid out. I touched up all of the shelves again and am now very careful to lift things out of the cabinets instead of pulling them towards me. You really truly need to apply 3 solid coats of this paint and let it cure for several weeks before you can rely on the finish and I was super disappointed to find it did not hold up to cleaning. The first drip of something that I tried to simply wipe off with a wet sponge smeared the black, revealing the ugly oak beneath. Now, ALL of that being said, I purchased another quart. lol. It really is a beautiful black which is really hard to find and I love the finish. I think you just need to use this paint on the right projects. Every day use like kitchen shelves, maybe not, but display pieces definitely. I will be using it on a bathroom vanity and I will try a layer of polyurethane over the high traffic areas in the kitchen that suffer future scuffing.

The BEST!

I have Ikea furniture that I am repainting. I also bought primer, because I know that Ikea furniture is smooth and shiny. But guess what?! I didn't even need primer to repaint my nightstands from black to white! Amazing!
