Doesn't come in the big bag anymore.
These used to come loose in the big bag, but now every pair is individually separated in little plastic wrapper. What used to be a five-star product in my mind has dropped down to a 3-star because of that.

Soft and Comfy
These ear plugs are a great deal. We run a girls rock camp and go through a lot of earplugs. We give each of the campers and volunteers a set of earplugs. Many times they are misplaced and need to be replaced so we needed a large bag of them. This 500/Pair bag was perfect. I tried them out by wearing them while attending a punk a show and they worked wonderfully. They block out enough sound to protect your ears but let in enough sound to be able to hear music. I verified on their website that this is indeed 500 pairs (1000 plugs) and not 500 plugs (250 pairs) you can see for yourself here [...] . We are really happy with our purchase and would buy these again. These were about half the cost of other earplugs but worked just as well. They are simple to use. Just roll them up between your fingers before inserting them into your ear. Once in your ear let the plugs expand naturally and they will fill your ear canal and block out sound. When you are ready to remove them just grab the end that is sticking out of your ear and twist slowly as you pull them from your ear. These plugs are soft and super comfortable so you shouldn't have any soreness or be uncomfortable when wearing them or removing them.

Best I’ve ever used!!!!
I really don’t understand how, if properly installed in your ear, any earplug can fall out! Don’t listen to any of these people that don’t know how to wear them. I’m on my 3rd bag of 500 pairs and I’ll keep buying them until they stop selling them! The bottom line is that I wear these every single day either for work or for shooting and they are simply the best! They are definitely better than the flashy ones that are 3-4 times the price for lower quality.

a mixed bag for this giant bag
I want to make it very clear that I think earplugs are unusually subjective product - what works for one might not work for another. Alas, this big bag of earplugs did not do the trick for me. I found them too long and very uncomfortable, and even using proper earplug insertion procedures, they would fall out of my ears after mild use (napping, walking around, etc). I've used lots of earplugs in my time because I am cursed with an inability to deal with distracting noise while trying to write and think (I'm using a white noise generator as I type this), and so I suppose I have exacting demands for this most simple yet specialized of products. But I've tried using them on and off for the past few months (it's a giant bag, after all), and I always come back to the same conclusion - they hurt and they pop out. If you just want to use them to shoot guns or deal with industrial construction noise for short periods of time, they might be fine, but for long stretches of writing or reading, I think you can do better.

Perfect, Economical Earplugs
Bottom Line: Foam earplugs are simply the best, and these are great at keeping the noise out. A lot of people have complained that these plugs are too long, but I don't think people have been been following the directions for foam earplugs. You are supposed to roll them in between fingers before you insert them. That way, they expand in your ear to seal the canal. When finished, you are meant to rotate them out of your ear to avoid any pain where your earwax may have adhered to an earplug. The length shouldn't be a problem if you follow these directions. Second best of all, this bag is actually cheaper than purchasing many small containers of earplugs from local pharmacy/convenience stores that will remain nameless. Highly recommend them!

The Magid E2 so far have worked fine for me
So, I have been wearing ear plugs for 37 years. I have worn many different kinds. Hearing protection has always been important to me. Some ear plugs applied too much pressure after inserted and expanded. This causes pain after awhile. Some fell out due to not expanding out enough. These did not provide enough decibel protection, either. The Magid E2 so far have worked fine for me. They are a little longer, so they can expand in a little more of the ear canal. I have used them running a chain saw, wood splitter and snow machine. I also use them every night since I use a cpap breathing machine. They keep out the noise from the machine and the noise from my little monster pups, which bark at every out of the ordinary sound. I have had them for about a month, and I like them fine.

Great Bargain, but not for people with small ear canals
A great bargain considering how many 'plugs' you get for your money. They work well, are comfortable, and because they are inexpensive and thus disposable, are more sanitary to use without the 'yech' factor of reusable plugs. They are pretty effective for what I use them for, blocking out sounds at night, which has allowed me to sleep much better. One thing you should be aware of, however, is that is you have small ear canals, these plugs may be too large in diameter fof your ears and may be difficult to insert and uncomfortable to wear. Do not buy if you have small ear canals,

By the by the bulk they're much cheaper than home Depot or
I buy these by the bulk 500% back I sleep with earplugs every night due to the noise from a CPAP The neighbors and just general noise and I'm a light sleep This is save so much sleep for me it is much much cheaper to buy this than to go to CVS or Walgreens or home Depot or Lowe's and buy the overpriced ear plugs there Honestly if you have a snoring spouse this can save your marriage full stop.

You get what you pay for, great for small ears.
They don't block as they claim 32dbs. They are half the size of your typical ear plug in width. They material is not comfortable. You get exactly what you pay for. Side Note: These are great for people who have small ear canals and have a hard time with other earplugs from companies like moldex or howard, or your typical rebranded drug store ear plug.

Hurts my ears
These make my ears hurt every time I've used them. I've tried many different ear plugs but these are the only ones that have that problem. I will throw away the whole bag. What a waste
