Worth the money
I originally bought the Bostitch Office VLF100 LED Desk Lamp and it was a terrible, cheap, disappointment. I tried screwing the clamp mount to my desk and the mount bent from a small amount of pressure before I could even attached the actual lamp. I thought "forget this" and I purchased this (much more expensive) lamp based on a NY Magazine recommendation and I can absolutely say it's worth the money. If you have the funds I highly recommend saving yourself a lot of hassle and getting this one instead. It bends every direction you ask it to and it stays in place. It's sturdy and has that professional quality feel. It looks pretty good, sort of industrial. I'm not worried about it breaking, snapping or catching on fire. With a little TLC I can see it lasting the rest of my life/professional career. Totally worth the extra money.

No off button!!! Once it's on, it's on
THERE IS NO OFF SWITCH. Seriously. Who does that?! There is literally no switch to turn it on or off. Which means you have to unplug it at the actual wall to turn it off. It really sucks that they don't mention this *anywhere* on the listing. I have arthritis and bending over to pull a switch out of the freaking wall entails crawling under my work desk and yanking. Absolutely ridiculous design flaw and shady to not point that out. It's too bad because otherwise this lamp is what I've always been looking for - sturdy, elegant, complete range of motion, clamp is sturdy as anything. But the lack of an on/off switch is EXTREMELY frustrating. I would not have bought this if I had known.

More than it promises.
This light has professional-level, high-quality functioning. The description is limited here and on the company website, so I wasn't sure if it would meet my needs. Two minutes out of the box, it was clamped onto my work table and turned on. The CFL bulb starts dim, but within minutes the light is bright and clear. The shade has an inner layer around the bulb which keeps the outer shade cool and easy to touch for adjusting angles. The arms and springs are sturdy and hold the light solidly in any position you put it in. It's everything I hoped it would be, making the price a true value. I'd recommend it to anyone.

My favorite desk lamp for 45 years!
I ordered this as my THIRD lamp for my desk or home because I love it very much. It can be moved around, up and down or shine in any direction you like. It accept 100w LED light bulb. I still have my first LUXO lamp since 1975 exactly like this one here for my artwork assignments. It is expensive but it worth my money and it is mostly metal not like today's lamps. Don't get it on eBay since it might have wear and tear.

Excellent tall lamp with infinite adjustability
This was one of the only overbuilt, sturdy clamp lamps I could find that could extend high enough to clear my elevated monitor stands and 24” monitors. It looks great, moves and adjusts smoothly, sticks in place, and you get good length on the power cord. Infinite adjustability is such a powerful feature to have. Comes with the clamp and a 100w equivalent bulb in the box.

Very High Quality Light for Price
This light exceeded my expectations. Strong construction, smooth and easy maneuvering, and offers lighting quality you'd expect in a professional lighting fixture. Has a clean aesthetic. Highly recommend.

Be prepared to return for exchange, quality control is lacking
I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this lamp - I have another one of these, but this one should never have passed quality assurance: the swing arm will not tighten enough to hold the lamp head in place, and, even worse, the base stem would not fit into the desk clamp. I had to ream out the hole to make the thing work. Not good, Luxo, for an expensive task light.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS LAMP
I've used these lamps for more than 30 years and still love them. In fact, they're the only lamps I have in my house. They're both beautiful and functional -- you can adjust them to any angle.
