These are great

They are pretty good for heat resistance. That being said they are a fabric potholder and like ALL fabric pot holders will eventually heat up if you hold on to a cast iron pan too long! But they are otherwise well made. My only complaint is the loop on the side that you use to hang it is very tight to the side of the potholder. It makes it a little tough to get it on the hook. Not a deal breaker but just an annoyance. But there are otherwise so nice that I'm willing to deal with it!

These are perfect replacements. They fit my Lodge pan and are lovely Red color too. Mailing was very fast. Happy to have found these as I've been looking.

Excellent for my Lodge pans!

I like that these do not twist easy when I grip the handle (sometimes the silicone ones would turn when picking up my larger heavy pan)... These have held up well, haven't had any issues with burning myself or the item being damaged by heat either. I think they're excellent quality and holding up extremely well! I purchased one set a while back and am so pleased, this is my second set for my other pans!

I like them, and use them daily.

They do what they are designed to do, and they do it well. I also like the classic bandana look. I have been using mine for a few years now and love the convenience and ease of use. They are durable, comfortable on the hand, look good in the kitchen, and are machine washable. They are 5 3/4" long x 3" wide and fit single handle cast iron cookware, vintage or modern, beautifully. My only complaint is that Lodge chooses to have these manufactured in China. Lodge, you're still an American company, make them in the USA! As a word of advice, if you use these, do not leave them on the handle of you skillet if you aren't actually holding onto it. These are obviously designed to help stop transfer of heat to your hand from a hot handle. Leaving it on a handle long enough high heat will potentially damage the product, and eventually make it's way through the material (The packaging says they will protect hands up to 350°). It's not as big of an issue on electric cooktops, but nowhere on the product, or its packaging, does it say that the material is flame/fire proof, flame/fire resistant, or flame/fire retardant. They are heat resistant, nothing more. If you use them on a gas stove, do not leave them on the handle of your skillet... obviously they WILL burn if they come in contact with an open flame, or high heat, for long enough. If you aren't grabbing the handle, lay the holder on the bench next to you, or keep it in the hand you aren't using your cooking utensils with. If your cooking with multiple cast iron skillets these are super easy to slide on and off of the handles. One will serve multiple skillets in a single cooking session. I can't speak for the quality of these compared to "older" versions of this product that some reviewers mention. My first set was purchased in 2019 and are still in great shape. My second set was purchased in 2022. They are identical in material and quality to my earlier set.

I love these. Unfortunately my son left them too close to the flame and the top edge burned off. Still useable!

Good!

I earlier got a silicone one for my cast iron pan, it kept sliding and was unhappy with that purchase. But this cloth one is just the one that I wanted, it is not sliding and serves the purpose!

Great for when you've got something simmering

I purchased this mostly for when I have to tend to something cooking on the stove for an hour or more at a time. By leaving the protector on, I can give the pan a bit of a shake now and again without needing to go for the pot holder each time. It is also nice when you are working with multiple pots, you can easily nudge the cast iron this way or that without needing a to grab some extra protection. This holder contains the heat very well - unless the head is kept on high, you can just leave this on the pan and it will stay within a comfortable temperature range. Otherwise, though, a pot holder is a better choice. This doesn't quite provide the same control a pot holder or towel will, and generally if you aren't touching the pan that much it doesn't make sense to leave the holder on the handle anyway. Obviously, a pot holder and towel is a bit more flexible in terms of what it can grab, as well. I prefer this to the silicone-type myself, as I find the those to be a little too stiff for natural movement. However, they do grip the handle better than this one does. I am considering either sewing a magnet into it, or, more likely, putting down a couple flat-ish rings of silicon caulk on the inside of this holder, so it grips a little better. Anyway, if you keep your cast iron cooking on the stove for long periods of time, would recommend.

I returned them. I also purchased two Lodge cast iron pans that i also returned. They were junk.

These are great. I always find cast iron handles thin/small to use with an oven glove. As you can see from the pic there is a bit of excess material so you can wrap them around the handle doubling the material up making it thicker and easier to pick up. Only used these holding a skillet on the hob so not tried lifting a hot skillet out of the oven. They are great for slipping over a handle and lifting and moving a skillet but they are not ment to be used all the time as the heat will bleed though, just sip it on when needed.

Loves these they fit well on the lodge cast iron pans. Haven’t burnt my hands since I got them. Liked them so well bought a set for my son and he loves them too! Would definitely recommend these.

Do what they should

Smaller than I expected as they go on the handle not your hand, but they do exactly what they are supposed to.
