My dog play with it
I purchased it for the purpose of water supply during my dog's flight trip. My dog was naughty and played with it. It ended up that the water bowl was flipped upside down and water was all over the cage. I was hoping the design of the product could be improved more stable so that it could be against pets playing around and messing up. Overall the quality is fine.

My parrot cannot dump water out!
The media could not be loaded. My AG spent every day of the last two weeks banging on his water metal water bowl to dump out the water. On a parrot site, this bowl was recommended. Since putting this in my parrot’s cage, he has worked hard to find a way to dump the water without success at this point.

Easy to clean & perfect size
I have different versions of these kennel crocks and some are better than others. Metal is the easiest to clean and more durable for my heavy chewer pups. This is the perfect size for 3 small dogs to share. With the size down I felt like I was constantly refilling their food and water. This takes me down to just once/d. Quality control is kinda lacking - the first to arrive was packaged but completely missing the whole bottom half Looking at the user pics, don't tighten it to THE tightest you can get it - the stress + weight seems to cause cracking. I've been using some of the same for years and they're still going

Will need to sand mounting does not seperate easily
This is to be a quick disconnect to take the bowel out for cleaning and refilling . Wellll .... yeah it's made that way . But it won't . The center ring on the cup under neath the cross bar is tight . Really tight . You can;t get it apart if the mount is on the cage . You will HAVE to sand the center hole on the mount to open up the diameter for the bowel to lift off with no effort . It is useless as a removable bowel with out this FIX . I will not return it . 5 min fix . You just should not have to . Attached photo is NOT the bowl it's a stock photo from the net.

I like this product.purchased similar product yeats ago and all parts we’re stainless steel, which I think was better. The reason I think all stainless better is by to hat bowls engaged/disengaged seamlessly, while these engage but removal is difficult. I kept product and using but cannot remove bowls easily, therefore they don’t get cleaned with new food/ water.

Underestimated the size!
I seriously underestimated the size of these things. They're huge! Its great as I'm using them for food and water in my foster kittens' cage, but it caught me off guard when I opened the box. They will take up a lot of space in a traditional crate so if you've got a smaller crate, get the 20 oz.

Just what I was looking for
These stainless steel dishes were exactly what I wanted for my dogs' crates. Easy to clean up and sanitize. Fits easily in the crate. The only bad thing with the 2 that I received is they were VERY hard to get in/out of the holder. I actually had to use a file/rasp to shave some off the connection pieces so I could more easily insert/remove the bowl from it's base.

Does not last
My dog had it for at least two months and I was sure it would work. Suddenly, the bracket was chewed and the bowl was as good as tits on a bull. Bowl just basically sits on a dowel type situation. Not going to prevent a problem

Best for birds
This steel crock is the best option for a destructive scarlet macaw like ours! She can't bite thru the metal & it locks so she can't dump it either! Easy to clean too. I have two complaints: 1 - the holder is still plastic, so when we're refilling the dishes she could break it or bite it. 2 - how the bottom piece locks into the holder is very difficult. Hubby had to drill it out a bit so that it's easy to remove & replace.

Don't buy for large parrots like Macaws
These were great for a few months until my female Blue and Gold macaw realised she can snap off the plastic tab on the bowl in under a minute. Now a couple of hundred dollars of bowls are useless. They do what they are described to do but seriously a metal tab would make this product so much more versatile, the only weak point she could find and now can destroy in under a minute. Thanks for wasting money. Now to try another design of bowls, bit upset as I like the locking mechanism a lot, just can't stand up to a 1kg parrot...

Perfect for my conure as a water dish.
Attaches well to the cage and prevents my conure from tipping over his water bowl. Love that they are stainless steel as there is no worries about rust and they are easy to clean.
