Lasts longer than any of the plastic models

At age 70 and been in multiple houses I have purchased a lot of wall mounted hose reels. None of them last forever, but this one I purchased before lasted 16 years so when my last one wore out I purchased another of this model.

Fantastic

I had a question regarding my newly received reel and my question was received and answered to my complete satisfaction within 24 hours. Now that is great service. The reel was packaged very well and upon inspection I found NO defects or questionable construction. The welds were excellent as was the materials used. I could find fault with just one item, the leader hose. It appears to be a plastic hose and I question the quality. However to be fair I have not used it due to it being winter. I feel this is a minor issue as a leader rubber hoses are not that costly should I replace it. I there for would rate this at 98% but will try to give an update after this summer. I would not hesitate to buy this reel again or recommend it. I hope my photo's and review are helpful.

Sturdy with a nice reel system

Nice looking piece, sturdy, does the job. Sometimes my hose gets stuck on the outside of the wheel when I'm rotating the crank. Looks a bit messy. Thought it would roll much cleaner, but oh well. ????????‍♂️ Edit. Removed 1 star as the system leaks excessive water when reeling the hose back in using the crank. Doesn't matter how tight the connected hose is. Too much work to uninstall, a neighbour did this for me as a favour already. Boo ????

Disappointed

I was excited to receive this item and installed it on my shed immediately. It worked perfectly until last week (nearly a year to the day of purchase!) that the hose attachment to the wheel sheared right off of the drum assembly! The brass fitting actually broke. I tried to repair it with a hose clamp but it couldn’t stand the action of winding the hose and blew right off. Unfortunately, this product is useless without the hose fitting. I’ll contact the manufacturer next.

A Good Quality Product

This was a direct replacement for an almost identical product probably installed around 25 years ago (they could have been produced by the same factory in China but with a different brand name). It looks like a quality item and the supplied hose for connecting the reel to the faucet even came with better than average quality couplings. One of the images in the image gallery showed the spacing for the mountings. These matched my previous hose reel so I was able to install it on the previously installed brick/masonry anchors. Obviously, this simplified the installation in my case but I've rated the "Easy to Install" aspect based on having to start from scratch. Obviously, the installation shouldn't be attempted without appropriate tools particularly if being installed on a brick/masonry wall.

Modèle identique au modèle antérieur 50052

Pour remplacer l’ancien que j’avais au garage. Il est livré avec aucune fixation pour l’installer. Une première. Heureusement que le modèle antérieur était exactement le même. J’ai pu utiliser les anciennes fixations dont les trous correspondaient exactement. Je trouve que pour un dévidoir de ce prix, il auraient pu mettre quelques vis. De plus la garantie n’est que de 1 an.

Very leaky... wouldn’t recommend...

Would not recommend. The product is easy to install and is well built. The issue is the connector where the hose spins on the side leaks. There is a very cheap washer and it sprays water out... for the price I paid I would have expected better quality on such a simple part
