Negative Reviews are due to incompetent buyers not the product!!!
Saw negative reviews saying these don't work, or that they won't go up. Well, mine straight out of the box didn't work correctly either but guess what. All I had to do was pull the release tab and move the poles all the way out and then back in and they worked immaculately. I am a professional cabinet builder/installer and these are amazing for wall cabinets, turning a 2 man job into a 1 man job. You can confidently place the cabinet on these and walk away if you want to. You can also quickly make some 8-inch stands for these and now they can be used for makeup drawers on bathroom vanities. I saw people in the reviews also say that "Watch out 'cause it comes down abruptly!" That's just incompetence. These Jacks are for mounting items. There should never be a scenario where you pull the release tab under load. These are not designed for that. Buy these now!! at the $36 dollar price right now it's an absolute steal. High-quality product!

Works great for solo installing of upper cabinets
When installing upper cabinets by yourself, these lifters are a big help. Even if you do have a helper, trying to hold the cabinet by hand while fussing with getting it in position and level and then driving in a screw is a hassle. If your lower cabinet does not have a top, you'll need a scrap piece of plywood to put on top of it. Then you'll need something about 17" high (slightly more than the minimum adjustment range of these lifters) to temporarily place the upper cabinet on (I use an old milk crate plus a couple pieces of 1" thick foam). Then you put these lifters in place and crank them up until your upper cabinet is where you want it. Crank adjustment is fine enough to fine tune leveling. The feet on these things are large so the cabinet was not wobbly at all (although, if you not installing up tight to the ceiling, you'll need some way to prevent the cabinet from tipping forward). As with most FastCap stuff, it is designed well and works very well. My only reason for 4-star is one of the two lifters makes a loud grating noise each time I crank it up a notch. It doesn't affect performance at all, but still an annoyance like a cart at the market with a wonky caster. A little WD40 would probably solve the problem.

Great product with a simple flaw!
Purchased these to supplement the lift box I built and have been using for the better part of 20 years installing commercial and upper end residential cabinetry. I wanted a system that was lite and easy to use for small installs. The Fast Cap Little Hands HD are a perfect fit for this application! Well built with plenty of capacity to support large commercial P-lam cabinets, stable enough to trust while fastening the wall cabinets in place, quick adjusting to get the load to the proper position saving time on the site while still lite weight enough to make them very easy to pack up and transport! Overall an excellent product and well thought out...with one exception! This brings us to the reason that I gave the Little Hands 4 stars instead to 5 and the major flaw in the design of this product! While the Little Hands DO have a threaded fine adjust shaft on the bottom of the unit, there is no corresponding pivot for the top pad to make small adjustment up AND down by simply twisting the shaft of the unit! If you need to make a fine adjustment to lower the load, the only way to lower the top pad and the load on it is to release the pumpjack lever, there by DROPPING the load in most cases multiple inches and starting over! I can tell you this can be quite unsettling with a 100 lb. cabinet overhead!!!! Turning the shaft of the Little Hand with a load on it will basically result in the same drop of load! I came to the conclusion that this product was too good to simply send back and was really close to what I was looking for...so after a little thought and a call to Fast Cap I made a small modification that has effectively solved this issue and given the Little Hand the capacity to be fine adjusted UP and DOWN with out releasing the pumpjack lever! Basically, I fabricated new inserts for the top of the movable pump shaft/pad, bored to let the top pad spin freely under load making the bottom threaded shaft usable! FastCap confirmed that the Plastic inserts are compression fitted and easily removed with a couple blows from a small hammer, (same procedure as the older 3rd hand models outlined on the Fast Cap site), I made my new inserts out of Hard Maple since my experience/talent lay with wood fabrication and not so much in metal There may be an advantage to using metal but the Hard maple seems to be more then adequate and standing up to well! Two roughly 1 1/2" lengths of 30mm dowel/rod, (I used a 1 3/8" hole saw to cut the rounds and sanded them to a snug fitting size), then bored a 31/64 hole for the shaft. I inserted a metal plug, (nock out from a steel electrical box since it was readily available), in the pad hole to keep the pump shaft from wearing into the pad and pressed in the new wood insert! This simple and quick modification has completely changed the usability of the Little Hand and I would love to see Fast Cap simply add an extra insert for this purpose...easy fix! Cheers

Makes cabinet installation much easier
Wish I had taken a picture, but these little jacks were wonderful. I bought a second set that are much taller too. The little jacks were used for installing upper cabinets. The only thing was that you could not use them for cabinets that didn't have a base cabinet interior them, like the cabinets above the oven or the refrigerator (which is why I had a second set). They worked soo much better than having someone hold the cabinet in place. I even used them to jack up the sink a little but so the counter could go under the lip of the edges on the sink. The only wish list item I have for these little jacks is that I wish the little pads screwed on, instead of slipped on. The reason being is that the pads can come off rather easily, if they manage to stick a little to something, or if you pick them up by the pad (you should pick them up by the pole, to be clear). These were pretty great for uninstalling and reinstalling upper cabinets, when the base cabinets and counters are already in. If not. You have to buy a different size. Now, I purchased them at a slightly higher price, but it was within a different dollars of the standard price. Spendy, but so worth it. There was a LOT less blood in these cabinets as opposed to the last cabinets. These jacks would making it much easier for someone to use for cabinet installation by themselves (still awkward, but MUCH easier). Again, they jack the cabinet up into place, so that it's more stable when you screw it into the wall, but they are the shorter ones, so be sure you buy the size(s) you need, when you have your project lined up.

Was good but…..
The media could not be loaded. The concept behind this product is great. It worked fantastically until this week when suddenly ONE of the pair no longer works. Sounds like it’s grinding against the inside or out of gas. Video shows the one on the left works and is supposed to work and the one on the right no longer moves without extreme pressure to get it down and so it’s no longer a viable product. Honestly, save your money because it stopped working within 3 months of getting the product.

One time use....
Used it to support upper cabinets while installing, very regular cabinets 30 inches high. Used for one kitchen only, the second one..they are not working anymore. Both jacks. Expensive, and not good. Very Disappointed Follow up: I contacted fast cap and they sent me a new set without hesitation, excellent communication and service. Follow up 2: the new set is defective too.

Decent product misleading box
Solid enough product. Fair amount of plastic so not indestructible or pro in my opinion. Easy to use and disassemble . Worth keeping for odd jobs but not if it’s not on sale. Limited uses that’s for sure! The box clearly shows a bag as part of the kit but I got no bag inside. Totally misleading if you ask me. You can buy the bag from the supplier for another $25 USD. That’s one expensive bag to hold a bunch of plastic.

Poor quality. Broke within 2 uses.
I am a professional carpenter/contractor, one of these broke on the first install, the other broke on the second install. Something I’d expect if purchased at the dollar store for a couple bucks. One had the plastic plate snap off, other won’t retract to release from under the cabinet. Useless. Not even weekend warrior quality.

it does not work
The media could not be loaded. It is completely stuck, I try to lift them without any weight or with weight and the system does not even work, I thought about putting oil on it and it says not to put oil. I will return them
