Fits, but popping it back up is a problem

Needed to replace a broken tub plug that hubby broke, trying to get it to pop back up, so we needed this for aesthetics, if nothing else. This fit perfectly, and pushes down easily to stop the water going down the drain. That said, I thought it was supposed to just be a second push down to have it pop back up. It's not. I tried and tried, but it wouldn't pop back up. I must be missing something, because I had to turn it a quarter turn back out, then try again, to get it to release the stopper. Maybe I tightened it too much, but I only did it finger tight. No tools involved, and a 70 yr old woman just isn't likely to have that much torque in her arthritic hands to overtighten this sufficient to stop it working. I hardly ever use that tub, and never plugged it before, but we needed this for aesthetics, if nothing else. It's there, it works, and now I know to unscrew it a bit, to get it back up. Not worth returning, but if you use it all the time, might be worth considering that, unless you know something I don't know about how to make it pop back up. Unscrewing it part way seems unlikely to be a good solution, for a well used tub.

Fits and functions as the original

The title says it all. The rubber gasket surrounding the plunger on the original became deformed so the tub would not hold water. This one was an exact match for the original so now the tub holds water!

If only it actually kept water in the tub

Super easy to install (literally takes 4 seconds to just screw it in). Super easy to use (just press down). Unfortunately, it doesn't seal well and the water drains out fairly quickly. It does seal a little, just not well enough to hold water for a bath.

Second one worked

I ordered this and the part would go down (close drain) when pushed but refused to snap back up when pushed. Amazon promptly send me a replacement, It works so far. Note that there are 2 sides (semi-circles) to the top of the stopper, One says "Close" and the other says "Open" Push on the Close side to make the stopper go down to stop the drain (with a snap sound) and push "Open" to snap it back up to open the drain.

great pop up stopper

bought a drain from lowes with a pop up stopper. the lowes pop up stopper stopped working after a month but never really worked well to begin with. bought this replacement stopper. 100% better than one from lowes. much better "clicky" mechanism to hold stopper down and easily pops back up. installation took 30 seconds since this stopper screwed right into place of the terrible lowes stopper.

Very Easy to Install, and Looks Great

I purchased this stopper to replace one that was no longer popping up the way it should, as the clicking mechanism inside had gone bad. This stopper was easy to install, as it was a direct replacement for the one that was already installed, and works perfectly.

Lock/unlock does work as described

Replaced old stopper that was stuck in pushed down position. While this stopper fits I have to keep it loose by about 1 turn so the click lock mechanism work. Also it does't always lock/unlock in 1 push. Most of the time when I push to open it, I have lifft it up by hand to open it all the way.
