Big display and easy to set up.

Walking dogs every day in the early morning can be challenging in New England. At least with some reliable information such as the temperature and humidity level, I can prepare properly. It seems accurate so far. The display brightness can be easily adjusted. I like it.

Actually only needed the remote sensor

I bought this because my older LaCrosse needed a new sensor. I could buy a new sensor for $45 or buy a new LaCrosse unit with sensor for $41. DAH! Now I have a new sensor that works with both of my LaCrosse base units.

Outdoor sensor quit working after 1 week

Ordered the Lacrosse model because my previous one lasted about 3 years! Indoor station still worked but outdoor sensor finally gave out. Went with same brand in hopes of using both old and new indoor stations with the new outdoor sensor. When it arrived it connected right away with both stations and worked great. However, the sensor quit working in less than 2 weeks. Have sent an email to Lacrosse to see what they can do. Will update and change rating based on their reply... Update, after a couple email exchanges with Lacrosse, they are sending a new outdoor sensor! Hoping the the original one was just a dud, but thank you to Lacrosse for making it right.

A few faults, but overall, very good, so far.

The unit has great displays for the indoor and outdoor temp and humidity as well as the day of the week, time and date. Thought I had a problem and started a return because the outdoor temp and humidity would not always show. Eventually I found that if the indoor unit was simply turned a different direction, it could consistently pick up the signal from the outdoor remote. The other problem is my just discarded old indoor Lacrosse Tech unit was hung on the wall near the front door (as well as a second indoor unit upstairs in the MBR bathroom) and I would be able to walk by and view the displays, using only batteries in the units. Unfortunately, this new unit requires them to be plugged into a power source to present readable displays. With only batteries in the units, they go into sleep mode and to actually read the displays one has to press a button the side of the unit to temporarily brighten up the display. Very not user friendly. My simple suggestion is, if you want something that provides great information and graphics which will need to be plugged in to maximize its usefulness, but you are fine with that, this unit will certainly work for you. On the other hand, if you don't have an electrical plug near where you'd prefer to have the indoor unit reside, and are relying solely on the battery functionality, you may want to research further the options available.

Great colorful and accurate weather station, but not without flaws.

I have had several La Crosse wireless weather stations over many years, two of which are still in operation with two more that are another brand. I bought this one for an upstairs bonus room that was finally finished, and since that room is going to be used as a night time gaming and movie watching room, I wanted a night viewable display. After setting it up and getting to know the different display brightness settings, I compared it to the others and the NOAA website which has a reading station just three miles from my home. It is within a few tenths of degrees of my other stations and what NOAA says. FYI my other station transmitters are right next to this one. The display itself has three brightness levels and you can set the timer for hours to go to dim mode if it's going to be on a bedroom night stand. My only issue with the display is that unlike my other station displays which are just monochrome LCD displays, this one you must be viewing it straight on. Any up/down or side viewing makes it appear washed out and hard to read even on the brightest setting. This means you have to have the display placed somewhere you will have direct line of site to it, like looking center on with a computer monitor. I now understand what others are complaining about. Also the price is a little more than what you get in my opinion. All in all I am pleased and would recommend to others, but with the reservations referenced above.

Not Wireless

Great product if you have a place or want to plug it in. Features only work when you have it plugged into electrical power.

Llevo 3 meses con la estación meteorológica y estoy muy contenta. La descripcion es correcta y todo sirve muy bien. La funcion que permite programar cuando se apaga la pantailla en la noche me encanta.
