I love this measuring tape
I was tired of cheap measuring tapes with inaccurate measurements. I read the reviews about this measuring tape and decided to pay a little more for a tape that felt like quality and I don’t regret it. Great measuring tape!

Great magnets and rubber grips
Great tape, easy to read both sides of tape, crazy strong magnets, durable and super comfortable

Fantastic!
You know how with some tapes you can retract it and you feel and hear the winding mechanism continue to spin inside the case? None of that crap here. The thumb lock clicks into place with satisfying firmness. The texture of the case is fairly "grippy" without making it impossible to remove from a pocket. I've never dropped it, but I've knocked it off my work surface a few times and it doesn't seem to care that it's fallen a few feet onto concrete so the durability seems to be there, at least for now. The markings are high vis and easy to read. Although I haven't use the magnet feature much, the magnets are reasonably strong. The belt clip is SUPER tight (almost frustratingly so haha) so it'll stay put. My favorite feature is the ability to just hang it off the end of a 2by and the weight of the tool keeps the tape taught, but it's not loose enough to fall (see pic). I do NOT have to lock it to do this so I don't have to fiddle with getting the right length. This makes it very easy to scribe a series of marks, but you do need to elevate your board off the floor at least a few inches. My only annoyance is that when set upright the tape doesn't extend straight out. It is angled up slightly (in the pics the tab at the end of the tape is directly above the screw). This means for short measurements I can't just extend, lock, and set it down because the tape being off the surface that far will throw off my marks. Despite that minor annoyance, for the money spent this is a solid, well built, and well designed tool.

Great tape with one catch (or lack of)
I just started a new framing project on my house and decided to get this tape based on the reviews. My old tape was a Stanley. Not a bad tape but it had some annoying qualities and was getting pretty beat up. So I grabbed this one and took it to work. First thing I noticed was that it fits my hand nicely. I have big hands and this tape feels solid. Second was the stand off, I extended the tape over 6 feet before it got wobbly and bent. Nice. On top of that the numbers are nice and big, it's labelled on both sides and even the catch has an extra tab on the top for holding down with your foot or whatever else you may need to hook it on. It's a great tape and I'm really happy with everything about it with the exception of one thing. The main catch doesn't extend past the rubber bumpers on bottom of the box. What's interesting is that there is a circular groove that is clearly for pipes that the catch does extend into, so if you're measuring a pipe you can just set the tape down on one end and drag it out. No problem. I did use it a few times to measure out some PVC and it worked great. But on studs and other boards you can't just set it on the board and drag, I kept setting the tape on the end and dragging but the catch didn't extend past the box far enough to hook the board so I'd just drag the box along the board without the tape extending. When you work fast this gets annoying quick. After awhile I got in the habit of using my thumb to push the tape out a bit so I could hook it on a board but I miss the way my old tapes hooked by just placing them on the board and dragging. It could be my bad luck and I just got a bad egg. None of the other reviewers seem to have this problem. But if you have worked with wood for 15 years and have formed certain habits, changing them for new equipment is frustrating, especially with something as frequently used as a tape. I'd gotten to the point where I didn't even think about it anymore so the little change was pretty dramatic. When I get into the HVAC I imagine the magnet is gunna come in really handy. For general contracting I'd definitely recommend. If you're a long time woodworker you might be a bit disappointed in the catch, I guess it depends on how you work though. Overall the pro's outweigh the cons and I still really like this tape.

Not for Warhammer
This was a stocking stuffer for this year for my husband who has lost three tape measures to WarHammer games. He has been informed that this should stay home to not lose another one.

Decent
3 big cons that make it just ok. The locking button is very hard to fully luck then unlock. The spring gets worn out quick and is not very strong from the beginning. The hook is flush with the tapes bottom so u need both hands to pull the tape out instead of being able to hook and pull one handed. Ive had 2 already and had the same issues. The tape itself is fine its not strong but not super flimsy its about inbetween. The build is solid ive dropped mine afew times and theres no noticeable damage

Nice tape.
Nice tool, not much to say other than it's got a strong clip. Easy to read, and can span almost 7' without support. I needed a 30' tape, so this gets the job done.

A really good tape measure....
Good alround tape measure - just too bad that it's has imperial measuring scale only - why not metric? Good but I'm going to have to return it for a imperial and metric scale tape.

A great measure
Was great to use and sturdy enough. Perfect for measuring full rolls of carpet as no. On both side .

Surprisingly light
Look good and strong, the tape move in and out really smooth, the locking makes a satisfying click. Not much throw before it falls though, about 7 feet, not much of a problem for me but I know it is important to some. The reverse side for vertical measurements is a nice feature, not that I do particularly need it. Surprisingly light for a 30’ tape, hope it’s not a bag omen! Will update if anything happens

Not what they use to be
I use these tape for years was bying them at Home Depot but they don’t carry them anymore, found them here under komeleon brand, first they use to be indestructble, now if they get wet or it’s stay outside in th elements, the next day the recoil spring will fail, i don’t know why the spring break within hours of rain exposure, damn i love thes tape keep them dry, not easy for a concrete worker.

Curled on first day.
So i had a komelon tape measure that i loved for like 8 years. It was black and silver if anyone remembers. Maybe those colors still exist. Doesnt matter. So daily job use, all day, for years. It was awesome. It finally just kinda had its day. Figured it was awesome and id get another. This new one curled on its first day. First. Day. See pic for like 30 bucks, just go to home depot and get urself a 2pack milwaukee set that has imperial and metric/dual sided tape for the same price.
