Does what I need it to do

I needed a tape measure for some crafting projects that required measurements longer than a yardstick measured. This fits the bill nicely. The retracting mechanism is a bit stiff but it does work and it works fine for my needs.

Simple, easy to use

I use this a lot. The size is good for my use and the locking mechanism holds well. Numbers are large enough to read easily, and the shape nestles nicely in my hand. I would buy it again.

Difficult to deploy and reel in. Sturdy.

Large case. Seemingly good craftsmanship. Very tight and difficult to deploy the measuring tape. Must depress the unlock button quite hard. Reeling back in is difficult with one hand. Tape is sturdy and self supports well.

Good solid tape measure

Good sturdy measure, seems like it should last well. Lock works well and it has a fair unsupported extension. It’s pretty heavy, definitely made for trade or serious DIY.

It's huge!

I didn't look at the size of this tape before purchasing it! When it arrived,I was puzzled at the weight of the package,then I opened it,it's huge and it's heavy. It's literally the size of my hand! It's probably not the most practical tape for me personally to use around the house but it's a helluva tape for just over £6. I like to pop a tape in my pocket when doing jobs or if shopping for something that needs measuring but it's way too heavy for that. That said it's a great tape for the money and I can't deduct star's for my not looking at the product size. I will use it but will have to get smaller,more practical one to pop in my pocket!

Great build quaily and locking mechanism!

At first, I was going to buy a Stanley's Fatmax 10m but it was 3 times the price! And the reviews were quite mixed. I've been buying Amazon basic products for a while now and I thought you know what... I've never been let down so why not try this one out. I am not disappointed one bit! Great build quality! Good lock mechanism! The width of the tape is fairly wide which is a plus! Will the lock mechanism last? I hope so! I will update in a months time.
