My wife and I have years of fond memories, going back to the 1980s, of using this Coleman stove on backpacking trips. After years of storage, we took it out to use for a photo/picnic only to discover it would not pump up to service pressure. Amazon reviews are terrific guides some of the time and can be contradictory at other times. Such was the case for this repair kit. So, finding a review that put my mind at ease was one written by Ryan dated 07/08/2021 which read " My old Coleman Peak 1 Featherlight 400 (model 400b)..." Thanks to his being so specific as to model name and number I took the chance and ordered it. True to his review, a tiny dab of lubricant on the new neoprene seal and our 40+ year-old stove came back to life - a tribute to Coleman USA products.

Plunger was a tad shorter but worked perfectly on the Dual Burner 430 stove

Replaced the assembly and worked perfectly. The plunger is a tad bit shorter but still fit and worked perfectly to pressurize the fuel tank. Used another repair kit to also replace the plunger on the dual fuel single burner stove (believe its a model 540) and fit perfectly too.

BE AWARE THAT THE PLUNGER LENGHT IS SHORTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. AT LEAST ON MY OLDER STOVE AND LANTERN. NOT BEYOND MY ABILITY OF MODIFY. USED THIS KIT TO REBUILD MINE..

Original Part. Fits perfectly. Walmart has it cheaper.

This is OEM from Coleman so it's supposed to fit and it does fit. I noticed my local Walmart used to have this in store but not anymore which is kind of sad. Walmart has this cheaper. So if you can get this at Walmart, I would recommend you to do so instead of purchasing this off from Amazon.

Fits on a 426D

Remove the plastic stopper piece and it fits perfectly. Actually fits better than the original because the plastic washer is wide enough so it doesn't let the rubber flip backwards when applying force. The original washer was a bit smaller and metal. Would be nice if the washer was metal and wide as the new plastic one, but we all know things were made to wear out fast and break easily as to continue the the need for more cheap parts but they work. Also fits on an old 1965 220f lantern too, bought 3.

bought this to replace the pump in my new to me Coleman lantern, it took a few minutes to swap over the plungers, but once done it works like new

Rescued my old Coleman multi fuel stove

I have an old 550 Peak 1 to which I'm very attached and the pump had been failing for a while. A few a lot of Googling I ordered this part and it was ideal, I used the rubber plunger part from this to repair my original pump and no issues at all.

Make sure you check the size you need.

This was the wrong size for my camp stove. The pump was half the size of what I needed so I had to return the kit. The washer is made of leather, not rubber. If that is all you need and if you can figure out how to make that,you wont need to buy the kit. In most cases, just using some oil on the exisiting dried out leather washer and flaring it out a bit will fix your problem (soak it) . You can also reverse it, but oil is the key.
