No "Pop Up" value in drain.

Amazon's item description is incorrect. This drain assembly is a solid one piece drain with two washers and one nut. The grid strainer is part of the drain and can not be removed, or moved, even to use a standard inset rubber plug. This is definitely not a drain with a "Pop-Up Plug." This specific unit is designed for a bathroom sink that doesn't use a sink stopper, and I don't know how the other reviewer could have possibly pulled the top of the drain up, or pushed it down so as to drain the water or stop the water loss. It is all one solid piece of metal If you purchase this drain for a sink but you do wish to have the water kept in the sink at times, it will require that you purchase a large flat round rubber stopper to lay flat on top of the drain to keep the water from draining out, which does not always work. If you look at the picture of the Elements of Design drain with a Pop-Up Plug at: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0019VV7W4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER you will see the difference. The quality of the materials is fine, but I deducted three stars because this drain can not be used for the purpose that the item title states that it is to be used for.

Brighter than photo

Bright polished brass as described, not antique brass as shown in photo.
