God send!

My colicky baby hasn’t been colicky since using the Kiinde bottle bags and nipples! We started when she was 5 weeks. When she was 9 weeks, we tried a Lansolin bottle; we regretted it when her belly got hard and painful with gas. It has been a God send for we have a happy baby (11 weeks old) with a soft and happy belly now!!!

Can be hard for babies with tongue tie

I really like this system. It is very convenient to have bags and nipples that just click together. VERY convenient. The only con was that babies with tongue ties might have a hard time with this nipple. We had to switch our baby girl to a different bottle because she couldn't get the milk out fast enough to keep her happy and she got really tired really fast. We even upgraded her to the medium flow and she would still only drink 1 oz before getting too tired to continue.

I love love love the Kiinde system!! It is so easy to pump and turn my bags directly into bottles. We use the Kiinde nipples as well, and my baby loves them. We started out using the adaptors for Tommee Tippee nipples but they leaked a lot and when you turn it upside down, milk came out! Annoying. No issues with the Kiinde nipples. Love. Anyway these pouches have been an absolute pleasure to use. Kiinde upgraded the plastic at some point and now they are really nice and thick. May not seem like it matters but the older ones were very thin, and would sometimes leak when frozen ones were being thawed out in the refrigerator. I pump a lot... and I mean A LOT! Much more than the average. I could pump up to 30 oz a day (My boy drinks a lot and I work full time). The convenience of not having to pump into one thing and then switch is HUGE. I can't tell you how many times we've brought a bottle out in public and people will ask me "What on Earth is that? I've never seen such a thing!" and then when I explain they are blown away. I'm a huge advocate for this company and I do NOT work for them. I have told many nursing mommies that if they pump, they should be using the Kiinde system. NOTE: I know they say not to resume them, but we reused them a lot! They aren't expensive necessarily, but when you pump as much as I do, it really can add up (talking hundreds of dollars) if you used a new pouch every time. My rule of thumb was that if it was prior frozen milk, I would not resuse and would dispose of the bag. But if it was fresh milk or only refrigerated milk, I would reuse. You can buy a cheap bottle brush from Target that will slide inside the opening and twist it around to full clean out the entire pouch from the inside. This can save you a lot of bags and money, but I still wouldn't reuse them 10x, maybe 2-3x. I'm not sure why their nipples don't get more talk either. Everyone recommended the Tommee Tippee or the Dr Brown's and I have to say that these nipples are the best. No leaks at all. Wonderful flow for baby. We breastfeed beautifully in the morning and after work yet he downs his milk like a champ during the day. Really excellent!! TIP: If you are on the go and are taking a bottle with you, leave the blue cap ON. Do not travel with the nipple attached. It WILL leak. I have lost many pouches of milk from doing so. What we do is we put the pouch inside the white case and inside of a Tommee Tippee insulator and have the nipple placed separately inside.

System is so much better than regular bottles

The active lactch nipples are great! It can be frustrating that only the slow flow nipples are with the holders, so this is a great way to get the faster flowing nipples. I liked to have at least 3 of each type since that's how many my son goes through in a day at daycare. The nipples are great as no milk comes out without him sucking. It did take daycare a little bit of time to learn how to use the nipples, but once they did a few of the caretakers mentioned they loved the bottles. It took me reading a review somewhere to find out the following information. I wish that Kiinde had it on their website more clearly. Unlike most bottles you want to START with the fast flow nipples (unless you get a starter kit you will likely need to purchase these) because your baby needs to learn to use them. As they get better at learning how the nipples work you can move down to the medium and then the slow flow. He's been using the slow flow nipples now for about 6 weeks (he's 6 months old and I went back to work when he was 3 months old). The new versions of the nipples are better than the old ones. The new ones have different colored caps for the slow (yellow), medium (blue), and fast (white/clear) nipples so it's easy to tell them apart. However, when I was steam cleaning them at the same time it can be difficult to read which nipple was which from the base. Great customer service -- I wrote to kiinde twice because of questions on how to use the nipples (as I mentioned above, start fast then slow), but also confusion on the new vs. old nipples. Both times I had a response within 24 hours - sometimes at 3:00 am when I was up nursing too - and they were always happy to make things right for me.
