Sacrifices have been made, but this is smallest and most portable pull/kick combo I have found
This is a good combo device if you have reasonable expectations and good reasons for using it, but in most cases you'd be better off just getting a normal pull buoy and not using a kickboard at all. I absolutely love pull/kick/swim sets such as 4 x [200 pull/50 kick/200 swim] and that is where the Pullkick Pro really shines. It is super fun and fast to just reach down and grab the pull buoy as you hit the wall and push off with it as a kickboard with almost no time wasted. That is the killer use case for me and really the only time I prefer it over a normal kickboard (or no board). My biggest concern when buying the Pullkick Pro was its small size and its buoyancy. At the same time, I have times where I need a kickboard, but don't want to travel with my own. I have great technique and have spent thousands of hours in the pool as a competitive swimmer, but I'm in my 40s now and just swim for exercise about 5 days a week. These days an easy 50 SCY free for me is sub-40 and a sprint is sub-30, so I'm still fairly fast but nothing like I was. Pulling: As a pull buoy, the Pullkick Pro is pretty good. I have no problem gripping it with my legs and keeping it locked in place. It is definitely less buoyant than your typical pull buoy, but I can still maintain good body position and really don't mind it. I'd still prefer using a normal pull buoy in almost any situation where portability wasn't a factor, but it really is a pretty good pull buoy for my skill level and body type. Kicking: As a kick board, the Pullkick Pro is marginal. If you view kicking as the time in your workout where you can take it easy, keep your head out of the water, and breathe freely, then this is definitely not the kickboard for you. If, however, you were taught that the "right" way to use a traditional kickboard (if you use one at all) is to extend your arms fully, maintain good body position, only hold the very back of the kickboard (ideally the board has been cut in half to reduce buoyancy) and keep your face in the water except to inhale then you might find this kickboard acceptable. I've tried using it in both horizontal and vertical orientations. It works better in the vertical orientation if you don't breathe much or can breathe to your side, but if I am doing those things I usually won't use a kickboard at all. So, when I'm using the Pullkick for kicking, I almost always use it horizontally and keep my face in the water except to breathe every few seconds. Lifting my head out of the water causes my arms and the buoy to submerge a few inches every time. It is a slightly better breathing experience than not using it at all, but just barely. I'll use it for short sprints of 50 - 100 yds, but I prefer to not use it if I'm kicking longer distances at less than fast pace.

Not as good as kickboard
I didn't realize that the form shape is asymmetrical. It barely gives body balance while gripping both sides of form with one side is shorter than the other.

Float float on ????
The seller describe the product precisely., I took the dive and made the click. It’s compact and a great tool to my younger and teens swimmers. Highly recommend for core training and lateral drills.

Great size
The size is great, it has been very helpful in training athletes for open water swims.

Perfect for my kid
It provides a little less lift than I am used to from a standard pull buoy. It really is perfect for my 8 y.o. It isn't as wide at the thighs so she can use it and since she ways 50# she doesn't need the life of a standard buoy. It was a good way for me to ease into less lift but overall not that helpful. It is a little silly to use as a kickboard combo product.

Nice portable 2 in 1
Good product for travel or just keeping in the swim bag. Not super buoyant and works better as a pull bouy than kickboard. Anyway very reasonable price for a nice item. Glad I bought it.

Not as kickboard
I was excited to use this to teach kids. It had multiple uses for different practices. I thought it would be very useful. However I don’t recommend it as kickboad. If I put my hands, it will sink. Not enough as kickboad. I like Arena brand and I trust their products…. Not this time????

It’s really expensive for how useless it is
Absolutely useless as a pull buoy since it doesn’t float. It’s so tiny it’s embarrassing to show up with.

Good product
Sturdy and fit for purpose. Would be better if they came in different sizes.

Very comfortable to use, but possibly not buoyant enough for bigger swimmers.
I was quite surprised to find how small this float is. If you're used to the more common hourglass shape buoy you'll find it really teeny, and I wasn't expecting to really work very well. And it's true, it's not as floaty as a traditional one, but it is really comfortable to use. The shape of this float means it fits nicely between your thighs, and stays in place. You won't be clenching your legs to keep your float in place with this one, and it doesn't create much drag. You even have enough movement to allow a small flutter kick when using this if you like. If you have very heavy legs you might find this buoy isn't enough to keep you flat in the water. For me, a 'normal' buoy is way to buoyant and makes me lazy, as I can just scull along without really considering body position. This one forces you to keep your head position correct and maintain a flat position - it doesn't do the work for you. If you usually have to work to keep your legs up with an hourglass float, then this one really won't be enough. For reference, I'm 170cm tall and about 72Kg. For me, it's just right. A traditional buoy is way to easy and I can swim all day with one of those, but this one forces you to think about position and swim 'properly' It's also nice and compact to fit in your swim bag. The material is fairly dense foam rather than the usual squidgy float material, and feels pretty robust. You could take chunks out with your fingernails if you really tried to, but for normal use it will last well. (If you found this review helpful, I'd love it if you let me know with a click below - thanks)

I bought the pink on for myself and I love it. My friend saw me working out with it and she wanted one. This one is her's and she loves it too. Easy to use and very easy to carry in our bags to and from the pool.

Great Addition to Kit Bag
Very easy to work with, I was a little concerned about the asymmetric shape for kick work but you don't notice it at all. Will be replacing with the same once I inevitably lose this one.
