Works great
I was looking for something to control outside lights. This certainly does the trick. They are solidly built and easy to install and set up.

As Expected
I purchased this to replace a 17 year old timer that finally went on the fritz. The installation was quite easy as I just attached the wires to the one that I had, once removed, to the appropriate contacts of the new one (taking a picture prior to removing the old one is really helpful). If you are used to these timers, programming it was a piece of cake...if you are not, just follow the instructions. Works perfectly.

A Great Programmable Switch
I'm using this programmable switch to control home exterior lights. The 7-day programmable timer allows me to make the lights turn on at different times each day so conniving people will have a harder time figuring out I'm not home. The only downside to this (and the reason behind my 4 stars instead of 5) is that programming all 7 schedules are tedious and time consuming. I'm not saying it's not doable, but if you mess up your Friday schedule after you are all done, you are really not going to want to go back in and fix it. Take some time the first time thru programming it and make sure everything is correct (especially the AM vs. PM). There is an audible click of a relay when the switch is activated manually or remotely, but this is really of no concern to me. A nice feature is the visual AUTO on the display that tells you when the switch has been activated automatically. NOTE: Check your wiring before purchasing one of these. You MUST have a neutral wire in your wall box to use this. If power is going to the light first and then the switch, you will NOT be able to use this (unless you have a neutral wire from another switch in the wall box or are willing to run one). I had to return a unit because of this (which was no problem at all).

Easy and reliable timed lighting solution
This product is a "set it and forget it" item. I personally use it for my lamp post in front of my home. Programming is easy, up to seven programs for on and off. Any day of the week or time. You can only program one circuit, it is not a multiple controller, but a multiple program. While you are away from your home you can mix up the programming so it looks as though someone is there turning any controlled light on and off at different intervals. For the most part, I program it to turn on and off at the same time everyday. Very easy to reprogram for daylight savings time. It installs in minutes just like a regular wall switch. If you install it yourself, make sure you shut off the power to the switch (breaker). Not only will you protect yourself during installation, but if you happen to trip a live breaker while installing it and you did not know that you did, it will not work when hooked up and you will think it is broken. Be safe. If needed have a professional install the switch.

Works as you’d expect
Install was handled by an electrician buddy of mine, so I can’t speak on that front. But programming was easy, works like it should. Happy with the purchase. Door to the buttons feels delicate but really it’s hardly used. Buttons are small but that’s what you get when you have several buttons on a light switch sized object. No complaints from me whatsoever!

Easy to install but does require some time and suitable lighting to read the very small screen for programing. Looks great and performs well once completed.
