Can work tooo good

Applied on slippery concrete and at first added too much grit. I pushed roller into the sealer until I visibly saw the product on the roller and applied, this caused too much and uneven grit. After that I just added small amounts of grit to small amounts of sealer and applied normally leaving just enough grit to stop slips but not real visible through the sealer. Just my advice.

Not good to mix with concrete sealer

this sand has a good grip but only to mix with paint. I mixed with concrete sealer and it scraped off after a few walks. Description does not mention sealer but I want to try.

It is indeed sand, but it's clean sand :)

Almost 4 bucks for a pound of sand is a bit hard to swallow, but I followed another reviewer's suggestion and sprinkled this stuff on immediately after the 1st and 2nd coats of latex paint on a plywood ramp. Added two more coats of plain latex (no sand), and the surface provided very secure footing, even in the rain. 2 coats after the last dusting of sand is an important step to really 'lock in' the sand particles, or they will come loose with use. I was very satisfied with the outcome.

Good stuff

Used it on a boat deck - worked really well, you have to be almost continuously stirring the paint. I'd probably use a little less of the anti slip than it says on the pack if I had to do the job again. Its safe to say that no-one will ever slip on my boat but its going to be tough on bare feet.

Exactly what I needed

I felt a little weird spending extra money on "fancy sand" but it worked for exactly what I needed for adding grit to our front porch steps. I can see what this is different from just using sand. It mixed well and consistently in the paint and brushed on nicely.

Nice bag of sand

Basically a bag of clean sand. I thought it might be more technical than that. Also it had a leak in it. It sinks in the paint, you have to constantly stir it. It works, but might turn out more evenly distributed if you sprinkled it over a wet coat of slow-drying paint, then applied a second coat over that. As it is, it does work well, but it's very uneven. Ended up painting several coats to get good texture all over the deck.

It's working for now.

We put this on the new wheelchair ramp we put up when we rebuilt the porch and it seems to b e working ok for now but I really think it is coming off rather quickly.

Good Additive For Grip On Slick Ground

It's a very good additive for Kilz smooth concrete paint & ad's a good textured grip to a slick or slippery ground area & it's decently priced & u get a pretty good amount to. Definitely satisfied with the results for sure.
