Easy to install and work great!
These have been wonderful especially during the snowy months on our stairs. We no longer worry about slipping while taking the dog out.

Better than stick tread
This is my third attempt to solve a slippery wooden stair case issue. I've tried the stick adhesive treads and they make it through one Chicago winter and peel off. I'm excited to try these metal treads. First, I removed the old adhesive treads. I sanded and painted the wooden stairs. Second, I installed the metal treads. They have a nice length and have raised bumps to help with traction. Each bag comes with black screws. All bags provided an additional black screw in case you hit a knot in the wood and strip your screw which happened to one of my screws. The black screws look like nice upon first install, but after a week of walking on them the black paint came off and they are silver screws that can be seen on the black tread. I am hoping the treads make it through a Chicago winter and help since it cost me $100. :) We are hoping just to get one more winter out of our wood stairs before we replace them. I do feel like when we do replace them, these treads can be uninstalled and used in another manner.

Very Grippy
These are pretty good, they blend in well with our steps, they have 12 screw holes, and each one came with 13 screws. They take about 3 minutes to put in, you will need a tape measurer and a drill for installation. They have a rough surface as well as bumps to help with traction.

Best safety solution for wooden ramp
These are fantastic. I was a little concerned at first they were too thin, but this was actually an advantage as I was able to mold a couple over the slight uneven areas on a wooden ramp. Included hardware (screws) are perfectly fine--ignore other reviews telling you to change the hardware.

nice. some missing hardware
These are much better than the stick-on treads. There are 12 holes for screws to fasten these to steps. However, the hardware package had anywhere from 5-10 screws per package. So you may need to find some additional hardware to securely fasten the treads (over 12 steps this is 20+ extra screws).

Very nicely executed non slip-grip
It does the job. Attaches easily with screws. Sits flush. I have tested it when covered in snow and ice and your boot or shoe won't slip. I feel confident now walking down the deck stairs with the baby in my arms, whereas previously the wood deck stairs were way too slippery. I'd give it a five star but I feel like it could be half the price. Works very well though.

Never fear slippery wooden cottage steps again
Seemed at first expensive but they are aluminum and high quality including the screws. Made in North America as well. Dont need many - install at strategic places where slipping has been an issue. Look great as well.

Great addition to slippery steps
We are very pleased to have purchased these for the steps going to our deck. They have made going up and down the steps safe even during snowy weather.

Permanent solution
Quite pricey for what they are, but once installed they are a permanent solution.
