Solid product!
I am using these on the ramp of an enclosed trailer. Especially in the snow, the ramp was extremely slippery, as was the aluminum transition flap at the top of the ramp. I placed strips of this tape across the full width of the ramp, spaced every 12". The adhesive has held up well under rain, sun, and snowy conditions, and sticks securely both to the wood of the ramp and the aluminum transition flap. For installation, sweep and dust the surface thoroughly. Mark guidelines on the surface to help your alignment when applying. Use a roller to press down the product after placement. Or, without a roller, walk solidly on every square inch of the applied tape so that the adhesive is well engaged with the surface. Tip: for this tape (and many other tapes & stickers) you can improve the longevity by rounding the corners before you put it on. Keep those corners and the rest of the ends as clean as you possibly can while installing. If you are going to get fingerprints anywhere, do it somewhere in the middle of the tape. This means that you can get better results if you remove that backing paper starting in the middle, rather than at an end.

Adheres very well and lasts a long time
We've used these a number of years on the wooden rear stairs of our homeowners association. They adhere very strongly to the painted surface, and last a good 3 years or so, which isn't bad. Overall, we're happy with them

perfect product, assuming it holds up
Barring any unexpected outdoor durability issues, this product is as good as it gets. The backing peels off easily, the adhesive is uniformly applied and grips to cleaned surfaces like nobody's business, and there's no kinks from being rolled too tight. My only complaint is with the packaging. They put several big dabs of glue at the free end of the roll, securing it to the grip tape side of the next layer down. It's a totally unnecessary annoyance to have to work that glue free from the grit (or trash the entire outer layer), when the thing is in a sealed box and can't unroll regardless! Waste of glue, waste of time, potential waste of materials. Use a twist tie if you're concerned about it holding together. At least that can be reused and takes no time to remove.

High Traction
I applied this to my deck stairs a couple months ago now and it's holding like a champ even though it's rained 4 out of 5 days ever since. The traction is great. Whatever you want to put this on - it needs to be well cleaned and dry before you put it on. My application to painted wood stairs: I scrubbed with a floor brush, water bucket and a tiny bit of dish soap. Rinsed very well. Dried 24 hours. Quick wipe down with cotton cloth damp with denatured alcohol. (Not too much - don't dissolve your paint!) Applied the tape. Placed towel over it and used a metal roller vigorously. (Eternabond 2Lb Steel Roller is what I used) Things to consider if applying to wood. How recently was it waterproofed? I can't imagine any adhesive would work well on top of a coat of Thompson's water seal or whatever else. In the shade and slick because of moss/mold/lichen stuff growing on it? You have to get that stuff completely off if you want this to stick. Power washer followed by sand paper is what I'd do. I'll try to remember to come back and update this next summer after I see how it holds up longer term. Update! I can't say for sure if the product is for sure still the same.. but it's been FIVE YEARS and this stuff has not come off the stairs. The paint is peeling off the deck but this stuff has stayed. Sure there's a spot here and there that has peeled a little bit but it's still going strong. A+ Changed to well deserved 5 stars.

Great for steps on outside deck
Worked great on the steps of my deck. Used the adhesive spray to help. The black tape helps define the steps in low light also.

I bought this to apply to guns in order to improve my grip. 1 roll will last you for quite a few guns, at least 10 depending on how much of it you use. The texture is great and it allows me a better purchase on my pistols when firing. So far I haven’t had issues with it coming off. The instructions mention using some sort of priming material from 3M but I didn’t use that. It still sticks great. Just wipe down whatever surface you’re putting it on with alcohol, stick it on, and heat it up with a hair dryer a few times, applying pressure to it periodically to get a great seal. I heat it up, grip and work the tape, and repeat 3 or 4 times. I have had one edge start to come off after repeatedly holstering and unholstering my gun. All in all I think this stuff is great and it allows you to customize your grip to fit your preferences. Love it.

Buen producto pero promete mas de lo que puede cumplir
Se ve y se siente de calidad, la verdad dudo que sea fácil resbalarse con su superficie super rugosa. Sin embargo yo no lo recomiendo en uso de exteriores. Ya que donde yo lo use, no duro ni un dia pegado cuando empezo a despegarse, y tras 20 dias de uso, ya es solo una pequeña pestaña la que lo mantiene pegado. Mientras que en interiores ha mostrado un mejor desempeño. En conclusion. Lo recomiendo pero solo para interiores

Muy buen agarre al piso
Acabo de pegar las tiras antiderrapantes y quede muy satisfecho. La manera en que se agarran los zapatos a los escalones me da cofianzar al bajar por las escaleras. No sé si el pegamento dure mucho o no, ya comentare con el tiempo

High Quality Friction Tape.
I bought the 4 inch tape to cover an area on my running board that the paint had worn off from me not stepping on the tread. It worked perfectly. My only advice is make sure you put it on right the first time. There ain’t no pulling it off to reposition it. It works great and is very easy to install.

Excelente relación calidad-precio…
La verdad es que el producto es bastante bueno, me ha sido de gran utilidad y ha mostrado resistencia al tráfico de personas y al aseo diario que se realiza, ya que no demuestra desprendimientos… Lo recomiendo porque cumple con su función, muestra calidad y aparte es agradable a la vista, es decir, no se ve mal… en mi caso lo conseguí en $131.80

Best non slip tape
Best non slip tape on the market in my opinion - does not lift after a few months. Top quality product. One thing - I wish they would hold the roll with (say) a rubber band instead of thick glue that can't be removed and you lose some of the tape as you have to cut off 2 pieces that are glued at the end.
