Perfect Waffles

I scroll reviews for every purchase to get an overview. This waffle-maker had varying comments. With amazons quick support on returns/refund, I decided to order and tried it out on arrival. I made a batter from scratch, sprayed the cooking surface with a light no taste oil and used a measuring cup to pour batter, filling each section from the center. I did 2 rounds of waffles to find the right fill level and cooking time for perfect waffles. They were a mid-belgian thickness, soft inside, and crispy outside. Poured pre-warmed butter and syrup combo and sprinkled with a little 10x. I now make ahead/freeze for quick pop-in toaster re-warm. Thrilled with this purchase and $avings!!

Waffles yay

After losing my first waffle iron that I had for years then purchasing replacements that were pretty much garbage this made me so happy. Makes great waffles. Only issue is the size of the iron. Way too big.

A good buy.

Perfect fit to our once in awhile breakfast menu. Good quality, good waffles and easy to clean and store. When guest are in house waffles are a go to breakfast and this maker did not fail the test.

Works fine but NO On/Off switch

My problem with this is the absence of an on/off switch. Plug it in and it heats. Cooks fine. But when plugged in it heats up. And when done, the only way to turn it off is to pull plug out of socket. With a 1500 W device pulling the plug out usually gives some sparks. Really? I would give it five stars if it just had an off/on switch. That would allow me to plug it in, ready stuff, cook, and turn it off when breakfast was ready. Unplug and put away latter. Think about that. So easy to do. NOT done.

I like the compact size

I have not made waffles yet. But I plugged it in to make sure it works as specified. The surface gets very hot, though. Use caution.

Works well, hard to clean

I have had this waffle maker for about 6 or 7 years. I mostly use it when company comes, for a great Sunday brunch. It still works great. The one challenge is getting the amount of batter just right, as it clips shut to bake and batter will ooz out and down the sides. So occasional use doesn't allow me to remember what the just right amount is. Use it regularly and you will figure it out. The other challenge is not within my control and that is it's difficulty in being cleaned. The grill's are not removable, making it difficult to clean and keep the water from possibly getting inside to the electrical parts of the unit.

Makes great waffles!

I've only used it once thus far, but it worked great. The waffles turned out amazing; and the clean up was a piece of cake. I definitely would recommend this product.

Great little waffle maker!!!

I haven’t made my Mom’s stewed chicken and waffles in ages so I bought this waffle maker after resting a million reviews. No, it doesn’t have an on/off switch but that doesn’t bother me because I unplug it anyway when I’m done. The temp control works perfectly right in the middle. I put the batter in, let it steam for about 4 minutes and they were perfect! The handle doesn’t get hot but of course the case does and as long as you spray the plates they don’t stick and clean up us a breeze!! So happy I picked this one!

Received damaged stability of the base not good and becomes very hot from outer as it doesn't have handle to open it is very difficult to open as it is hot. Upper side of waffle not cook properly.

Simple and reliable

Had this waffle maker for 9 years. Looking to replace it because it has been bumped so many times the highes are barely hanging in there. Still cooks perfectly. Tips: Only spray with cooking spray (Pam) before the first waffle goes in. No spray needed for the rest of the waffles in the batch. Don't overfill or you will get a mess on the counter. Simple design, but it is all we needed for weekly waffles.
