NO RABBIT
Not the greatest design. Waffles are very thin and it’s hard to fill in the animals without overflowing (they need a circle around them or something so you can easily get the whole shape). There in NO BUNNY! Literally the reason I bought the thing was for the rabbit for Easter. Instead it has a lion, giraffe, and elephant.

Strong plastic smell
I was so excited to finally find an animal waffle maker for my kids. Unfortunately, I just couldn’t get the plastic smell to go away. It’s so strong and the waffle taste like plastic :(

A cute idea
The animals are a cute idea,however I like to add shredded zucchini and pears to my mix and this isn't deep enough like the dash little waffle maker. The animals just don't come out looking good. The idea is there,is just need to be a little deeper. If I could return it,I totally would send it back. Also by the time you are done filling animals molds,the first one which is the elephant is practical cooked. So it's cute but not worth the buy. (This is beet and blueberries waffles)

Cute but not practical.
I got this waffle maker for my kids to enjoy the animal shapes but the molds are very shallow and make very small waffles, my kids are 6 and 8 and I definitely have to make them a few batches before they're full. It's super cute, but it's more of a novelty gift than a practical breakfast aid.

Cute waffle maker. It works!
I had hoped to purchase the sea creature waffle maker, but that is unavailable. This animal shape one worked and made for happy grandchildren sleepovers. The directions say 5 minutes to cook. It only took 2 minutes. My daughter said the same is true of their sea creature waffle maker. The photo below was my first attempt. The dark spots are chocolate chips! I'm not sure that was a great idea since the shapes are quite small, but the kids liked them. We topped with maple syrup and/or sifted powder sugar. Fun!

It makes the animal shapes as advertised, but you really need to crisp up the outside of the food item in order to pull out the animal shape in one piece. My version has a giraffe (long, thin neck and 4 individual horns), an elephant (tiny, thin tail), and the lion had the same size tail as the elephant. To get the batter into the shapes, I used a piping bag. They cooked fast, which was nice, but I found the plate has inconsistent heat as I would get burning in some areas while other areas were still somewhat raw. As the packaging mentioned it could make cakes and brownies as well, I tried that also. I do not recommend this for cakes or brownies AT ALL. The nature of those batters results in a fluffy product that easily separates, which means that my giraffe came out headless every time, and my elephant and lions never had tails. Overall, the shapes were fun if I was trying to make them for a display (so a little burning was OK for that purpose)... but we intended to eat these, not so great for that. In a heartbeat, we would buy this again IF they used the entire plate for 1 animal type. It would be simpler to fill and I think the resulting product wouldn't be small and brittle enough to break unless burnt.

Relatively good waffle maker
Overall, a pretty good waffle maker. The shapes are really fun. Two (small) complaints: 1. the lid is quite heavy resulting in thinner waffles; if you prefer the light and fluffy ones, this waffle may not be the one for you, and 2. it's tough to get the batter to stay in the animal shapes--may take a few tries to get the volumes right.

It's okay if you have money to burn
Over heats, "waffles" are extremely thin. It recommends waffle cook for 5-7 minutes, but beyond 4 and they begin to burn in the unit we received. These are more like shaped pancakes, and due to extreme sticking we couldn't get the shapes to come out well enough. We used so much non-stick spray that it was leaking out of the machine, but parts of the waffles still stuck. Outside got very hot as well.
