Great! Hampster loves it!
Ready to go and easy to assemble. The hampster loves it and built it's nest in there.

Spacious but not enough ventilation
My hamster had a crittertrail outhouse that she always slept in but i felt it was too small because whenever she curled into a ball, her back pressed against the top so i purchased the Ovo Den as a replacement. She absolutely LOVES it. She won't sleep anywhere else. It's slightly smaller than a softball and provides adequate sleeping space HOWEVER, the ventilation is horrible. There's a bunch of pin sized holes in the dome to provide airflow which isn't enough. I noticed that after a day, condensation from her breathing would fill the den and her bedding would be soaked. I originally had an elbow joint at the front so i changed it out to the cube and took off the top and side windows, but it still want enough air flow and the condensation continued to build. I took out the den but my hamster got so stressed losing her favorite sleeping spot. She built a best behind her wheel insteaf which prevented it from spinning and she would get frustrated with that so i put the den back and was changing the moist bedding daily. After a couple weeks of having this den, i noticed some hair loss. I took her to the vet and they said she had a skin infection. When we were discussing the cage and i was showing the veterinarian pictures of her enclosure to try to figure out what would cause it, i mentioned the condensation in her den and we determined the skin infection COULD be a type of rash from tnt moisture in there. She recommended taking out the den, but i explained how stressed she got when i did. The vet recommended making larger air holes which i did with a standard drill then spent about an hour or so carefully filing the edges of the holes until they were smooth and rounded to prevent injury to her. Since doing that, her bedding has stayed completely dry and there has been 0 condensation in the den. This den would be absolutely AMAZING with the size and the removable bottom to clean easily and would have gotten 5 stars from me if the ventilation was better. As far as the other tubes, cubes and elbows go, i love the twist locks that correct them. Much easier to disconnect than the crittertrail tubes and they seem more secure. These are a nice size, especially for my Syrian but the downside, they come apart at the middle seams too easy. I think they are meant to come apart for easy cleaning purposes but even as you are trying to turn the lock to attatch it too another tube, the seams are separating. Wish it locked together better.

WARNING - THIS IS NOT VERY SECURE! DO NOT BUY!
I bought this product to expand my Habitrail wire cage habitat. The original cage sat on a shelf above my desk. I later added a t-section tube. One section connected to a 2nd cage. The bottom of the t connected to a second tube that crossed the top of a file cabinet and endied in a habitrail ovo den. Boo-Boo seemed quite happy with the additional space. He promptly moved into the ovo den and even made several laborious trips from the main cage to this new area carrying clean and cozy bedding stuffed into his cheeks. He used this bedding to build himself a comfortable nest. . He was a perfectly happy little guy for about a month and a half. Sadly, after returning home from work today, I found that the bottom of the ovo den (the white part) had fallen off. Since this accident appears to have happened during the day, Boo-boo was most likely asleep in his den when the floor literally fell out beneath him. The problem is that although the bottom of the den only fell a few inches, this left enough space for the hamster to escape ... and my file cabinet is a good 2 feet and 4 inches above the surface of my desk ... or if Boo-Boo was really unfortunate, a sheer fall off the edge of the file cabinet to the floor would have sent him plummeting nearly 4 feet and 7 inches. I've checked the surface of the desk and have looked behind my monitor and desk top computer. I've searched the floor and have looked behind the file cabinet and two book cases. I have no idea where this hamster is. If I am lucky enough to find him alive, I'm reorganizing his home and he's going back into his original cage. The habitrail tunnels seemed like a cute idea ... but they don't have any ventilation. The second cage was a habitrail ovo home which looked really sleek on Amazon but had very poor ventilation. The supposedly silent wheel that was part of this second cage wasn't silent at all and squeaked with a loud irritating sound that was reminiscent of someone scraping their fingernails across a chalkboard. The worst thing of course was that the habitrail ovo den wasn't secure. The bottom should never have fallen off.. If I can recover Boo-Boo alive, well and good ... but he's still going back into his original cage and all of the add-ons will be scraped. If the worst has happened and Boo-Boo suffered internal damage and crawled away to die, I will throw away the entire set up. I realize of course that I could donate the cages and tubes to a thrift shop or I could sell it on Craig's list but honestly, I don't want anyone to have the same experience that I just had. These cages and add-ons are simply not safe and not secure.

Great add on piece, but comes in multiple pieces
The most frustrating part about this piece is that it comes in two pieces (as all Habitrail tubes do). This can be a royal pain in the butt when trying to connect tubes to it. I've found if you connect two of the caps to it first, then connect your first tube to a side (so it will hold it together) it is much easier. This piece gives you lots of options to build from -- there are 5 open spaces, the bottom is solid plastic. The piece is pretty transparent, when I had the bottom piece as the "bottom" of a long tube, my hammies freaked out a little bit and looked like they weren't sure if there really was a "bottom" or not. They then pulled bedding over to the bottom of it and slept in it. The connectors will attach to other tunnel openings as well, which comes in handy when you are cleaning out just certain sections of the cage. You can remove this part and then put a cap over the opening until you come back to replace it. The connectors on Habitrail are a little harder to connect than Critter Trail, and take some practice. I recommend practicing with the connectors away from small children and hamsters ;)
