Great cabinet.

Very easy to assemble. Haven’t installed them yet, but installation looks easy with pre-drilled holes.

Homeowner quality, not commercial grade cabinets

I have installed 5 of these in my garage and they are pretty nice cabinets. After reading some other reviews, yes the metal is thin, but once the cabinet is assembled and the screws are tightened it becomes a rigid cabinet. And yes, they are made in China. This is a homeowner quality cabinet, not a commercial grade cabinet. I believe Gladiator sells another line called 'Select' that is more expensive and probably has thicker metal. There have been complaints about the quality of the packing and how some pieces were damaged during shipment. Two of the five cabinets I received were packed in an additional cardboard box by Amazon. The other three were just shipped in their own factory box. It didn't matter either way. I had no issues at all with damage from shipment. All the cardboard and styrofoam packing seeming tough enough for the shipping task. A couple of the pieces from two different boxes had some slight damage to a couple of the metal flanges of the cabinet. But I could tell by the way the items were stacked in sequence in the box that the damage was caused by the factory workers before the items were put in the box. These were very minor and easily fixed by me just slightly having to bend the metal edge a little bit with my fingers. One cabinet had an extremely small ding on the back edge of one of the panels. Again, it was there from the factory. So UPS and Amazon get an A from me on getting these to me without damage. In any case, always carefully examine each panel as you remove it from the box to check for any possible damage. I did this for every cabinet before I got started assembling it.. I assembled these on a carpeted surface so that I could lay out all the panels and then assemble it without scratching anything. Figure about 1 hour per cabinet to unpack all the parts, examine them and then put it together. The paint work on all the panels was excellent from the factory. The picture online gives the impression that the doors are a matte aluminum diamond plate. That is incorrect. They are stamped steel with a diamond plate pattern, painted grey and then clear coated. Still, they look OK. Two magnets on one of the shelves hold the doors closed and this is just adequate. A better design would include magnets on both shelves which would mean each door would have two magnets holding it closed instead of one.

Perfect.....Almost

I bought 6 of these cabinets for our new shop along with 6 of the RTA lower cabinets. They are easy to put together, look nice and seem to be heavy duty enough. I didn't have any issue with damaged items or shipping, only with the installation. Our plan was to mount these directly to the wall for a cleaner look. There are holes in the cabinets that allow for 16" OC or 24" OC stud spacing. The problem is that if you plan to put the cabinets next to each other in a row, this will not work because of the hole spacing and you need to purchase the gear track channel. UGH Fine.....kinda annoying. Then, these cabinets only come with one bracket for mounting them to the channel. After spending a couple of hours researching and trying to find the additional bracket I tried to Chat with Gladiator....my expected wait time was 167 minutes. Ok, now I'm kinda gettin pissed. I finally called Gladiator, and this cabinet only needs one bracket (which comes with it) for mounting on the channel, but you still need two channels (top and bottom) in order for the cabinets to hang level. So since i was not willing to open the wall and add additional support I had to spend another $85 bucks on the channels and the cabinets will not be mounted directly against the wall which leaves a space for dust/dirt and just doesn't look as nice. All in all once we get these cabinets up I think it will be fine, but the instructions should tell you all of this. I'll update and add a pic once we actually get them on the wall. UPDATE-Cabinets are all on the wall now and we love them, they look great and hold more than enough, but you can see from the second picture that they aren't hanging straight. I'll have to figure out how to shim these somehow. Still annoyed by the installation but the cabinets are great.

Quick Change/Detachable Workshop Cabinets - Pure Awesome

This is a great tool to help organize your garage or workshop space. My wife bought me this because she saw I kept knocking over various bottles and containers I had strewn about the garage. I'm not a slob, I just didn't have any shelving of any type- so for my birthday she bought me this thing. I wasn't completely sold on it when I first saw it because you do have to put it together before you can use it and I'm lazy so, it sat for a while. One day I was feeling particularly motivated so I put it together and then had to figure out how to get it on the wall. Gladiator GarageWorks is an entire line of shop/garage cabinets, shelves, tracks and other manner of containment/placement choices- the tracks being the backbone of it all because with them you can move these components around to suit your individual need. Imagine being able to lay out your workspace and move cabinets, shelves and wall racks in any configuration that suits you- and being able to change said configuration with little fuss (as compared to a permanently wall mounted cabinet or shelf) on a whim? That's awesome! Naturally, this sort of thing is really geared toward people who spend a decent amount of time in the shop or the garage (or both) - if you're just a casual observer type then you'd get this for the look moreso than for actual use. Did I mention they're really sturdy and have a clean and neat industrial look? I plan on expanding in the future.

6 pieces dented

Came dented. And the entire box was strong and protected by styrofoam. Begs me to believe it was like this before packaging. We had to warp it back to align the holes and it was an awful job. Should have asked for a return or exchange.
