Cuts nice

Wanted to cut and rethread the shift shaft on my Cummins. This was the right size and it cut into the hardened shaft pretty well. The job is done

Very hard to cut threads

So much force was required as if I was cutting 1" threads! The die got so hot you couldn't hold it with bare hands! Maybe I got a lemon, but I don't recommend this one.

Great inexpensive die for occasional use. ( I'm anti metric so don't need $$ metric tooling)

Bought a tip for my HF stud welder ...even though reviews stated it fit, it was completely different. I reached out to the manufacture and they only offered the TAPERED one, no threaded one. Aside from buying within the time shown it STILL wasn't delivered the next day but thats the A-scam .....what can you do? you already bought it so you have to wait longer. I was threading copper so I can't attest to how it will do on steel but for my application it was just fine. (see before on the left and threaded on the right )

Great to have assorted MM hex nut.

I needed a die nut for my wheel stud. This one was great quality and inexpensive. Local stores don't carry a lot of metric

Great for the price!

The gear wrench tap and does work really well. Especially at the low prices of individual pieces. Use them at work, I'm a shop foreman at car dealership.

Clean Cutting

This die worked perfectly and the threads mated with the other threaded piece. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I am not sure how well it will hold up. So far I have used it only 3 times. I will likely come back in 2 - 3 months and update the star rating depending on how well it is threading then. But so far, so good.

Works well!

Repaired a cross threaded wheel stud on my 2009 Sonata. The hex did face that is etched goes in first as the threads have a lead-in and make it easier to engage with the thread on the stud. I used a 1”(25mm) deep socket wrench with a ratchet and used WD40 as lubricant.

For a reasonable price this little gem worked flawlessly to repair 2 badly mangled tire studs. Saved hours of labor compared to replacing studs
