Whipped cream maker

I love this. I can make whipped cream fast and with little effort. Works faster than the electric mixer. Super cool

great idea for a no-battery whip but with flaws

I gave it two stars because i think the concept and the design are great. but it does need tweaking on the flaws. it does pump the cream quickly but not very stiff, so any decoration you pipe on will soften pretty quickly. the stand that holds the various tips tends to fall off when you lift the unit up. it should at least snap on or screw on to secure it. what bothered me the most is the waste of cream that resulted. to begin with, the unit does not hold very much cream and when you pumped it and piped on wherever, about a third of the cream still clings to the three perforated discs in the tube and above the disc on top. the three perforated discs do not touch the tube like in a french press therefore the cream creeps above it. i have tried it two times. i will try it again with another whipping cream. if the results are different i will report here again.

This leaks cream from the bottom before you can whip it.

Hutzler's original Quick Whip worked perfectly and It was valuable for a pot luck situation: With 6 - 10 quick strokes (when everything was really cold), I could quietly whip cream to add the final touches to a dessert whenever I was ready to serve it without compromising someone else's fridge space before and during dinner. After using, I could tuck the cylinder into a plastic bag to wash later at home. After maybe 20 years of use the bottom piece cracked so I ordered this new one (with a decorative whipped cream top). Just checking it this morning before going to a Thanksgiving dinner, I discovered that it leaks. How can it be? What a disappointment. No longer Made in Germany, I note. Too bad. Of course I can whip cream by hand with either a balloon or a French whisk, and I guess I'll have to. Certainly when I want to discretely produce non-sweetened whipped cream in someone else's home now I will bring a bowl and whisk.

Works sometimes.

I've used it three times. The first time it leaked and I lost all the whipping cream. The second time it didn't whip after 5 minutes so I put it back in the fridge and the next day whipped it some more and it worked. Third time it didn't whip after three tries.

New Design and Different Manufacturer has Ruined a Great Kitchen Tool

I bought my original one about 15 years ago (when it was made in Germany) and excellent quality. Through sheer use, the center plastic mechanism snapped off from the whipper part about a year ago. I bought the same brand replacement and over the years it has become very cheaply made plastic, flimsy and not easily gripped when whipping cream due to the drastic design change so the result is unsatisfactory. The paperwork indicates China has a hand in the manufacturing now. Definitely not recommending this product anymore.

Pretty much perfect!

I don't get all the negative reviews. I think maybe they are not using it right? We bought two of these these last and they're fantastic! Whips up the cream really fast and then it's so easy to pipe it in cool designs. We don't do sugar as a family, so we use homemade whipped unsweetened cream with fruit to make birthdays and holidays special for the kids, instead of things like cake and cookies.

great product, lousy company

The product is great; we had one for years and it recently broke so we were happy to find a replacement. Unfortunately, ordering from TigerChef through Amazon was a nightmare. When the product came it was missing several parts that made it unusable. When I contacted Amazon they said all I could do was send it back for a refund and order another one. When I asked "how would I know if the re-ordered item would have all the parts?" they said "trust us". I also contacted TigerChef to see if I could get the missing parts sent to me. They said "nothing we can do, talk to Amazon" So I sent it back and re-ordered it from the actual manufacturer, (gourmac.com). Bottom line: a great product, but don't order it from TigerChef, order it from Gourmac.

Works great and saves money. NO NEED TO BUY BATTERIES

I wanted a milk frother and didn't want to spend $20+ for a mini hand mixer that can only froth milk and came across this in my search. THIS WORKS GREAT. I have been using it to froth heated milk for cafe macchiatos. Yes this is not going to be Starbucks or Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf quality because I'm not going to spend $100's on an espresso machine with a steamer attachment. I also tried to make my own whipped cream following the instructions and it turned out great. Now I can save my wallet from feeling the sting of a $30 a week starbucks habit (I swear Starbucks is putting drugs in them to keep me hooked J/K)
