Bends and sticks

This wrap worked very well on 1/2” copper tubing on a tankless water heater with tee’s and elbows. Frost King was Flexible, strong enough and tacky. I had previously tried to wrap the piping with Redford Cold Snap and failed. That wrap was stiff and not very tacky.

Got to for outside AC lines, especially the hard to get angles

You can't beat this stuff for getting around corners. I've used this over the pool noodle foam tubes and it does great in the spots the tube connects or hard to get corners. I don't use this by itself, but over forms, it's added protection around foam insulation. I've used this for hot and cold at different times. In the past, I used this to help unsulate pipes from freezing in the winter. This time I used it becasue I noticed the out side AC lines were exposed in some places and there was condensation. I rewrapped two whole line into the house with about half a roll and again that's for two ac units. Always good to have some of this stuff on hand.

Great stuff

Used this to insulate pipes in my well pump house in San Antonio, Texas, and survived Snowmageddon in 2021 without any burst pipes. Also super handy to seal air gaps around doors. I’ve also put this around exposed water pipes (think an upside down “u” out of the ground) where I had a burst pipe in 2021, and addition of this foam tape got us through without problems in 2022. Although this is isn’t rated for heavy duty insulation, it is enough to keep pipes from bursting in a climate that only stays below freezing for a few days at a time. Also made in the USA.

Not awesome, but flexible.

R-value is very poor compared to shaped foam tube, but this is easy to apply to different sized pipes. In my case I couldn't easily source tubes for 1.25" copper pipe.

I couldn't find this in the big box hardware stores and it's exactly what I needed to freshen and boost the beat up insulation on the coolant line to/from my ducted heat pump.
