Well made blades, just very soft metal

The blades were sharp accurate. I bought these as a quick replacement for my ShopSmith pro planer. They are a bit longer, but fit just fine. My issue is that the metal is very soft. I had a big project and needed to plane about 500 linear feet of Poplar. I did a little over half with my old SS blades that were already getting dull. I switched to these blades and in less than 40 feet of lumber, there were hundreds of micro chips across the blades. I’m going to send them of to be sharpened and hopefully tempering will allow them to hold an edge.

Triple check the size you need they came in a 1/8 over length but still works but check

Good Knives

I bought these knives to replace the original set on my Shopsmith 12" Pro Planer. They fit perfectly. They are a little thicker than the original blades but they fit just fine. They came very sharp and are producing a nice clean smooth surface . The only issue I have is they had a very slight wire lip on them. I ran them across a hard arkansas stone (back side flat on the stone) to remove it. Good blades at a great price. I would buy them again.

Fits Parks planer

Well packaged and properly sharpened. I installed them in my Parks planer and no adjustment needed. Excellent surface finish on planed boards as expected.
