They come well packaged and they are just like the other I order

Good blades
I installed these on a Shop Fox 8" dovetail jointer. They are a tad taller than stock blades so there was a little learning curve installing and adjusting. Take your time, they are very sharp (as expected). I purchased two 3 packs because the jointer has 4 blades. I will likely buy more. The price is fair considering they are pretty decent quality.

Know your thickness
These knives are very sharp and very nice. The only issue I had was the thickness was .003 over. For my older model jointer this was just to thick so I had to have them ground. My drum grooves measured .124 so this was a minor problem for me not because of these knives. I would highly recommend these knives if your jointer will except them

Used in Grizzly 6" Jointer
These were listed much cheaper (about six teen dollars) than any jointer blades that fit my grizzly jointer (G1182). Only problem with these; they are too long at 6.5 inches. This is probably why they are so cheap. I have not seen too many 6.5" jointers. I knew they were too long when buying them. I used my abrasive cutoff wheel to trim them to the correct length, which took about 30 seconds and worked well. A little cleanup on my wire wheel, and i have a cheap set of knives to alternate in. The fit is fine other than the length. I installed and ran through some test Cherry, then went to work on some knotty yellow pine, and face jointed some 6" fir. No issues. cut is clean, and blades remain sharp. Seems to be a very good deal for my application. I ordered a second set now that I know it's not to difficult to trim them to length. Not sure about durability, but for the price, you cant go wrong, and I'll always have a sharp set using a decent sharpening service.

Poor Quality
I had some Freud knives on my jointer. They lasted for years. In fact, I used them to make my kitchen cabinets. I wanted a cleaner cut so I bought some PowerM….. blades form amazon. They were slightly cheaper than the Freud knives. They were not flat so I returned them and go Freud knives thinking they would be better. I also purchased a Oneway gauge to hep set them up. While installing them, I drug the gauge across the knives, they were flat except the outer inch or so. Two were down over 10 thousands one side and one was high over 10 thousands on the other side. Did this several times just to convince myself that this was accurate. Essentially, I was able to get the center very flat, I didn't have time to wait for another set so I went ahead and used them thinking I could use the center portion of my 8" jointer an make do. I planed up some soft maple and it worked good for about two hours. Once I started jointing, I must have gotten to close to the right side (the side with the blade with the high edge). I noticed a substantial grove in the wood. Sure enough, the blade with the high edge is now missing it's edge. I know it's the same one because I marked it. I have now taken my old freud knives and my original set of Delta knives down to be sharped. The machinist says when I get them back, the will be +/- two thousands. Plus I know they are both made out of good steel (USA).

Expected sharper blades.
Not as sharp as I expected. However, the steel is of good quality.

Just terrible
I spent the extra money because I saw the Freud brand and have always had good success with them in the past. Looking at the blades first thing I noticed was their edges were not straight. One was cupped, one was bowed and one was just dull. Figured the cup and bow would cancel out and I can honed the dull one. In a rush and have an order I need to get done. Go to install them and it’s going easy enough with the knife jig I have. Get two in and on to the third. And then I realized it’s the wrong size. It’s a solid 1/8 taller than the other two. I’m not putting these in my machine to vibrate it apart or having to adjust the out feed table up an 1/8 inch. Packed ‘em up and send them back. Come on Freud!

Dull, vibrate and noisy. Poor quality from Freud!
Disappointed in the quality from Freud. They produce better blades for table saws and miter saws. Their router bits are great. Jointer blades are poorly finished!

One knife has a chip in the middle

came dull out of the package and 'pounded' the wood. Once honed, the blades were ok.
