Change of review
After a previous review of one star due to non delivery, I have to take it back and give 5 stars for product. It turns out post office did not deliver as they had stated and found package in a back bin. The 14 in hoop is exactly what I wanted. The wood is very smooth and the hardware is very sturdy

Nice size for hand quilting
Just the size I was looking for to hand quilt the lap quilt I’m working on. I have the same brand in the 18” diameter for larger quilts and these hoops are sturdy and well made. Nice addition to my collection of hoops

Warped
Would be a really nice quilting hoop EXCEPT it is warped on one side which makes it hard to get my piece in tight

Cheaply made but does the job
I was disappointed to see that this hoop was made in China and thus of poor quality - I had to sand the hoop before using, but carefully so as not to alter the staples ability to hold the hoop together. I kept it, because it will do the job, however disappointed in how poorly it was made.

Very sturdy
I like the thickness and sturdiness of this wooden quilting hoop. The tightening blocks with the wingnut screw are very substantial. My fabric is held in place without any slipping. The size makes it easy to hand quilt. Great item!

Easy to set up and use
Excellent item, had been struggling to hand quilt, but this hoop has made it so much easier. Definitely would recommend this for a new to hand quilting hobbiest.
